About This Role

We are seeking an Analyst to lead the financial management of donor agreements in El Salvador. The Analyst will be responsible for designing and operating internal processes and policies to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with all finance, accounting, and administrative policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and follow up on the financial deliverables of each project (reports, documents, among others).
  • Prepare disbursement requests, financial reports, and other reports according to donor requirements.
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget for ongoing projects and update related tracking systems and templates.
  • Carry out activities to achieve financial goals of projects (budget monitoring, cash management) considering the overall program execution goals.
  • Support the administration, management, and monitoring of grant agreements: administrative and financial monitoring, training, approval of disbursements, review of financial reports, issuance of observations, lifting of observations, and formal closure of financial reports from sub-executors.
  • Support the administration and management of service contracts, considering donor policies and procedures, and coordinating disbursements and other expenses.
  • Keep the inventory of projects updated in coordination with the Grants Finance Department.
  • Support staff trainings on the policies and procedures of each donor.
  • Conduct financial-accounting analysis of projects from multiple information sources (financial system, accounting system, information from fund sub-beneficiaries, among others); provide timely alerts to Project Management and Grants Finance Department for decision-making.
  • Ensure financial, accounting, and administrative information is up to date in the ACCESO and donor systems (physical and digital).
  • Support and coordinate with other departments regarding the issuance of payment orders, document filing, and other operational support activities.
  • Support and coordinate with the contracts department and the Grants Finance Department regarding any changes or inquiries related to donor agreements.
  • Address audit requirements in a timely manner in close coordination with the Grants Finance and Accounting Department.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures in coordination with the Grants Finance Department.
  • Fulfill other functions, activities, or projects assigned by the direct supervisor.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or another related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in the management of restricted and/or complex grants.
  • Previous experience in the management of restricted grants from multiple donors, preferably with USAID, GAC, or similar multilaterals.
  • High level of maturity, empathy, and grace under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Systemic thinker with a great aptitude for process design and improvement.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Drive.
  • Passion and commitment to social impact and improving the lives of small farmers.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude with an adaptable work style. Comfortable in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability and discipline to work remotely with a multinational team.
  • Attention to detail and meticulous organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to ACCESO markets in LATAM and the Caribbean.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
