Role Overview
As our Mobile-First Product Designer, youll craft intuitive mobile experiences for judges, stenographers, and court staff across India. We design for real-world contexts where users face unique challenges like spotty connectivity, multilingual needs, and high-pressure workflows.
Our mobile app serves as a powerful companion to our web app making legal-tech solutions accessible on-the-go for Indian judiciary. Were looking for someone with strong UI design, a mobile-first portfolio and experience building and maintaining design systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Mobile Design (60%)
- Own mobile UI design from concept to launch for impactful features that ship quickly on iOS and Android
- Design intuitive, simplified user flows optimised for Indian judiciary and their unique work environment
- Work with the web-app team to create micro-interactions and moments of delight for all our users
- Ensure seamless integration between mobile features and core web platform workflows
- Partner directly with iOS and Android engineers to bring your mobile vision to life
- Multi-Device Design Systems (40%)
- Build and maintain a comprehensive multi-device design system that scales with our growing product suite
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement reusable component libraries
- Leverage AI-powered design workflows to ideate and prototype faster
- Ensure design system standards are upheld in shipped features
- Play a key role in shaping our design culture, fostering creativity, innovation and empathy within our expanding product team
Qualifications
Required:
- Proven mobile design chops: 2-4 years shipping iOS/Android apps (show us your portfolio!)
- Mastery of mobile patterns: Deep knowledge of platform conventions, especially for audio/image/text workflows
- Systems thinking: Experience building/maintaining design systems
- Ownership mindset: B2B and/or startups experience where you excelled with autonomy
- Strong portfolio showcasing mobile, UI and visual design
- Bonus: Motion design expertise (Lottie/Rive/After Effects)
- Bonus: Experience with AI/ML interfaces, voice UIs, or legal tech
- Eye for good design, attention to detail, and a genuine love for the craft
