ABOUT THE ROLE

The Internal Communications Manager will play a critical role in ensuring effective and engaging communication across the organization. This role involves developing and implementing internal communication strategies, crafting compelling content, managing communication channels, and supporting organizational change initiatives. The Internal Communications Manager will be a skilled communicator and project manager with a passion for creating a transparent and informed workplace where employees feel connected to the organization's mission and values.

The operations teams on campus play a critical role in delivering quality service, experience and operational excellence on their respective campuses. On each campus, we pride ourselves in, uniting diverse perspectives to craft the best experiences for our internal and external stakeholders who visit our campuses and spend time with the ALU community. RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and Implement Communication Strategies:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and values.
  • Identify key communication channels and tailor messages to specific audiences.
  • Establish clear communication guidelines and protocols to ensure consistency and clarity.

Content Creation and Management:

  • Create engaging and informative content for various internal communication channels, including newsletters, intranet articles, emails, presentations, and videos.
  • Ensure that all communication materials are accurate, timely, and aligned with the organization's brand and messaging.
  • Manage content calendars and editorial workflows to ensure timely and effective communication.

Channel Management:

  • Manage and optimize internal communication channels, including the company intranet, email distribution lists, and social media platforms.
  • Ensure that communication channels are accessible, user-friendly, and effectively reach target audiences.
  • Monitor and analyze channel performance to identify areas for improvement and optimize engagement.

Change Management Communication:

  • Support organizational change initiatives by developing and implementing communication plans that inform and engage employees throughout the change process.
  • Create clear and concise messaging that explains the rationale for change, addresses employee concerns, and promotes understanding and buy-in.
  • Provide regular updates and feedback mechanisms to keep employees informed and involved in the change process.

Communication Overload Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent communication overload and ensure that employees receive relevant and timely information without being overwhelmed.
  • Collaborate with different departments and teams to coordinate communication efforts and avoid duplication or conflicting messages.
  • Establish clear guidelines for email communication, meeting frequency, and other communication channels

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a related role.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing communication strategies.
  • Experience in managing communication channels and creating engaging content.
  • Experience in supporting organizational change initiatives.

  • Channel Management: Experience in managing and optimizing various communication channels as well as supporting organizational change through effective communication
