The controller position is accountable for the accounting operations of the company. This includes the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. The controller is also responsible for enhancing the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing the full cycle of accounting activities for the company
- Process accounts payable
- Collating and entering vendor expenses.
- Preparing bank statements.
- Maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger.
- Processing employee timesheets and payroll
- Processing mileage reimbursements
- Managing the payroll system.
- Preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements.
- Reporting and regulatory requirements.
- Works with external auditors and provides needed information.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

EDUCATION:
- Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration (preferred)
- Prior experience with accounting or bookkeeping
- CPA license (preferred)
- Superb attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
