Mission:
This position is responsible for monitoring and assessing potential issues relating to critical IT applications, systems, and devices.
The IT Supervision Analyst will monitor all incoming alerts using various tools and perform actions based on predefined instructions. This position includes performing 1st and 2nd level troubleshooting, manual alert correlation, and resolving issues as required.
Responsabilities
- The IT Supervision Analyst will use customer notification systems, Infrastructure management, and monitoring tools such as Appdynamics, Centreon, Grafana, AWS Cloudwatch, and SaaS Applications monitoring portals to supervise Baobab IT infrastructure for the high availability of the applications and services
- In addition, the IT Supervision Analyst shall use customer and management notification tools, network protocol applications to access remote devices, web resources, and Ticketing System (Jira) to perform his/her duties.
- At all times, the IT Supervision Analyst shall monitor the given dashboard and other monitoring systems available, as well as monitor alerts to identify application problems that may have an impact on the customers and escalate to the right department for quick resolution.
- The IT Supervision Analyst shall determine the scope and impact for application outages and provide timely and accurate customer and management notifications using the tools available.
- The IT Supervision Analyst shall monitor the information received from the alerts and affiliates Forum.
- The IT Supervision Analyst shall perform detailed problem documentation of systems incidents and outages.
- The IT Supervision Analyst shall perform timely escalation of systems problems/outages.
- The IT Supervision Analyst shall perform proactive and reactive troubleshooting of system problems.
- The IT Supervision Analyst shall coordinate system activities with vendors and other systems components.
- The IT Supervision Analyst must have advanced skills in troubleshooting and analysis of network, applications, systems, and device IT departments.
Technical skills
- 2+ years experience monitoring and troubleshooting critical systems, working on an operations-style team (NOC, SOC, etc.)
- Working knowledge of these technologies: Appdynamics, Centreon, Grafana, AWS Cloudwatch and SaaS Applications monitoring portals
- Knowledge of scripting languages, including Javascript, HTML, Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL), SQL queries and familiarity with REST API calls, Python, and Powershell.
- Experience with AIX, Windows, Linux, HTTP, web services, networking, Java, and Node-JS-based applications
- Good understanding of the following monitoring: Application health, system availability, latency, performance, and end-to-end monitoring.
- Must possess a strong written and oral command of the English and French language,
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Informations Systems or Technology
