1. Main Job Purpose:
Chancen International is seeking a Senior Associate, Investor Relations Associate, to support the organization’s investor engagement strategy, reporting processes, and capital mobilization efforts for the Future of Work Fund (FWF) and future investment vehicles. This role is ideal for a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about impact investing, financial inclusion, and education finance. The Senior Associate will work closely with internal teams, including finance, impact measurement, and strategy, to ensure clear and transparent communication with investors.
2. Roles, Responsibilities, and Duties
Investor Relations & Engagement
- Act as a key point of contact for existing and potential investors, responding to inquiries and supporting relationship management efforts.
- Assist in the preparation of investor communications, including quarterly updates, annual reports, and customized briefings.
- Support investor meetings by preparing presentations, gathering financial and impact data, and ensuring all materials are investor-ready.
- Help maintain the investor database and engagement tracking to monitor commitments, communications, and reporting schedules.
Financial & Impact Reporting
- Collaborate with the finance and impact teams to ensure accurate, data-driven investor reports, aligning financial performance with impact metrics.
- Support the preparation of investment performance analyses, monitoring fund progress and financial returns.
- Assist in ESG and impact reporting to meet investor expectations and regulatory requirements.
Capital Mobilization & Due Diligence Support
- Conduct research on potential investors, including foundations, DFIs, impact funds, and local financial institutions.
- Assist in capital-raising efforts by preparing investment decks, fund term sheets, and due diligence materials.
- Support responses to investor due diligence requests, ensuring compliance with governance and financial best practices.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Support
- Track trends in impact investing, blended finance, and education finance, providing insights to refine investor engagement strategies.
- Support the development of investment strategy presentations and internal reports for leadership and board meetings.
- Represent Chancen in industry discussions, investor forums, and networking events where appropriate.
3. Educational Qualifications and Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Marketing or a relevant field.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in investor relations, impact investing, financial services, development finance or a business/consulting role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to synthesize complex financial and impact data into clear investor communications.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passion for social impact, education finance, and financial inclusion in emerging markets.
Additional knowledge, experience and skills we are looking for:
- Strong analytical and financial skills, with exposure to fund management, investment reporting, and financial modeling a plus
- Experience supporting investor relations, capital raising, or due diligence processes a plus
- Knowledge of blended finance structures, ESG frameworks, and impact measurement is a plus
- Knowledge & connection to local investor network in one or more Chancen country operations is a plus
