As the Regional Operations Manager, you will hold a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence and efficiency within your assigned region. What You’ll Do:
▪ Develop and implement operational strategies and plans to achieve production targets and business objectives
▪ Manage and oversee farming operations, including land preparation, planting, cultivation, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and harvesting
▪ Supervise farm staff, including farm supervisors, field workers, and equipment operators, to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule
▪ Monitor crop health and growth, livestock condition, and overall farm productivity,
implementing corrective measures as needed to address issues and optimize yields
▪ Coordinate with agronomists, veterinarians, and other agricultural specialists to ensure best practices are followed and industry standards are met
▪ Oversee the maintenance and repair of farm equipment, machinery, and infrastructure to ensure operational readiness and minimize downtime
Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance measures to ensure a safe working environment for farm personnel and compliance with local laws and
regulations
▪ Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and logistics, to coordinate farm output with market demand and distribution requirements
▪ Prepare and analyse reports on farm performance, including yield data, production costs, and profitability, to identify areas for improvement and inform decision-making
What You’ll Bring:
▪ Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, Agronomy,
Agribusiness, or related field (master's degree preferred)
▪ 5+ years of experience in farming operations management, preferably in the agriculture or
agribusiness industry
▪ Certification in agricultural management or crop/livestock production
Who You Are:
▪ Someone experienced in precision agriculture technologies and farm management software
▪ Someone familiar with sustainable farming practices and environmental stewardship
