Position Description

The Regional Operations Manager provides on-the-ground leadership for Complete Farmer’s field operations within a designated territory. Reporting to the Operations Director, this role oversees the region’s field teams and facilities including aggregation centres, fulfilment centres, and warehouses while driving operational excellence, farmer engagement, and seamless order fulfilment. The position requires regular travel to field sites and regional hubs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and manage all field operations across the assigned region, including warehouse staff, agronomy personnel, field coordinators, and field agents
  • Oversee day-to-day management of regional field offices, aggregation centres, fulfilment centres, and warehouse facilities to ensure efficient and compliant operations
  • Drive adoption and use of Complete Farmer’s technology solutions among the farmer network, leveraging field coordinators and agents to achieve high engagement
  • Build and maintain a strong regional grower network by onboarding farmers, supporting certification processes, and ensuring alignment with company commodity requirements
  • Oversee the rollout and management of agronomic support services like the use of tractors, threshers, irrigation, and value addition tools specific to the region
  • Monitor and guide agronomic support provided to growers, ensuring best practices for crop quality, yield, and sustainability
  • Ensure farmers comply with agronomic standards and certifications (e.g., Global GAP, Organic) in line with field Agronomist in the region
  • Support ESG project plans and sustainability initiatives within the region, ensuring timely execution and accurate reporting
  • Lead planning and execution of crop aggregation and procurement activities in the region
  • Negotiate competitive farm gate prices supporting farmer livelihoods and company profitability
  • Work closely with the Sales team to fulfil commodity orders, ensuring aggregation and delivery targets are met
  • Serve as the primary regional liaison for cross-functional teams (HR, Commercial, Operations, Product, Technology, and Finance) to resolve operational challenges and share insights
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards across all regional facilities and field activities
  • Travel extensively to farming sites and centres within farming network to oversee activities, and maintain strong relationships with growers
  • Prepare and present regular operational reports and recommendations to the Operations Director

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in field operations, agribusiness, supply chain, or related sectors, with at least 3 years in a regional or multi-site leadership role
  • Proven ability to lead diverse, distributed teams and manage large-scale operations in fast-growing environments
  • Strong understanding of agricultural value chains, commodity sourcing, and buyer fulfilment processes
  • Experience overseeing warehousing, aggregation, and logistics operations, with a focus on efficiency and cost control
  • Familiarity with farmer engagement, certification programs, and ESG or sustainability initiatives is advantageous
  • Proficiency in data analysis and operational reporting, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
  • Ability to ride a motorbike confidently with a valid rider’s license and a clean safety record (minimum 3 years)
  • Practical knowledge of operating agronomic machinery such as tractors and other field equipment
  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Agronomy, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and the primary local language(s) of the assigned region (Hausa, Twi, Ewe), enabling effective communication with farmers, partners, and stakeholders
