Position Description

The Sales Manager drives revenue growth by leading Complete Farmer’s buyer-facing commodity sales and trading activities. This role focuses on acquiring and expanding relationships with domestic and international commodity buyers, negotiating high-value contracts, and ensuring timely, profitable transactions. Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, the Sales Manager partners closely with Field Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to align supply with market demand, deliver on buyer commitments, and capture new opportunities in global agricultural markets.

What You’ll Do:

  • Source, develop, and manage relationships with commodity buyers, traders, and institutional purchasers across local and export markets
  • Serve as the primary contact for all buyer accounts, ensuring timely communication, contract execution, and ongoing satisfaction
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key buyers to identify new opportunities and strengthen long-term partnerships
  • Lead end-to-end sales cycles — from price negotiation and contract finalization to delivery coordination and payment follow-up
  • Monitor commodity market trends, pricing dynamics, and global demand to inform trading strategies and maintain competitive positioning
  • Collaborate with Field Operations and Supply Chain teams to confirm availability, quality, and on-time fulfillment of buyer orders
  • Drive aggressive revenue targets by expanding the buyer base and increasing transaction volumes
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline and provide reliable sales forecasts to leadership
  • Implement disciplined CRM usage and performance tracking for transparency and accountability
  • Ensure all buyer contracts meet internal risk, credit, and compliance requirements
  • Work with Finance to manage payment terms, receivables, and credit checks for new buyers
  • Recruit sales affiliates/brokers in international markets with leads accounting for 20% of sales pipeline

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in commodity trading or B2B/B2C commodity sales, with a proven track record of closing high-value deals
  • Strong knowledge of global agricultural commodity markets, pricing structures, and trading practices
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and experience managing complex buyer contracts and international trade terms
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics
  • Experience working cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and finance to deliver large-scale transactions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agribusiness, Economics, or a related field (MBA a plus)
