Overview
We're seeking a Growth Analyst to drive FarmerChat's expansion across India, Kenya, and Ethiopia by designing and executing data-driven experiments across acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention. You'll own the full growth analytics function—running 8-12 experiments per quarter to improve our acquisition, activation and retention, WAU/MAU, building dashboards and delivering weekly insights that guide strategic decisions, and coordinating growth initiatives across our global country teams. This role combines hands-on experimentation (A/B testing landing pages, onboarding flows, notifications), deep data analysis ( cohort analysis, funnel optimization), and cross-functional partnership (working with Product, Design, and Marketing to build growth into our product).
Responsibilities
1. Data Analysis & Strategic Insights
Be the Data Expert for Growth Decisions:
- Build and maintain growth and performance marketing dashboards tracking North Star and paid acquisition metrics (installs, CPI, CAC, activation rate, WAU/MAU, retention, ROAS, queries per user).
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on user behavior, cohort performance, acquisition-to-activation funnels, attribution paths, and drop-offs across paid and organic channels.
- Perform advanced segmentation by country, user type, crop, acquisition source, campaign, and engagement level to optimize targeting and creative strategy.
- Analyze WhatsApp, push, in-app, and paid campaign performance (open rates, CTR, CVR, CPI, CAC, and ROI) to improve lifecycle and re-engagement efficiency.
2. Growth Experimentation
Design, Execute & Analyze Experiments Across the Full Funnel:
- Acquisition: A/B test ad creatives, landing pages, and channel strategies to optimize CPI and conversion rates across paid social, Google Ads, and organic channels
- Activation: Run experiments to improve user activation (onboarding flows, suggested queries, push notifications, friction reduction)
- Engagement: Test features and campaigns to improve WAU/MAU (notifications, content, gamification, social features)
- Retention: Design experiments to improve D1/D7/D30 retention curves and re-engagement campaigns for churned users
Deliverables:
- Run 8-12 high-quality experiments per quarter
- Document experiment briefs with clear hypotheses and success metrics
- Present weekly results with ship/iterate/kill recommendations
- Maintain prioritized experiment backlog (ICE scoring)
Required Qualifications
Must-Have
- 3-5 years in growth analytics, product analytics, or business intelligence
- Analytics Tools: Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, MoEngage, MMP ( Adjust), Google Workspace
- Statistics: Strong understanding of A/B testing methodology and statistical significance
- Growth Expertise: Deep knowledge of acquisition, activation, retention frameworks (AARRR metrics)
- Communication: Ability to explain complex analysis to non-technical audiences clearly
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or quantitative fields
What You’ll Bring
- Strong ownership mindset (not task-driven, but outcome-driven)
- Bias toward experimentation and iteration
- Ability to balance data rigor with speed
- Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Passion for building technology that drives measurable social impact
