We are an impact-first team of compassionate people from all parts of the world and all walks of life, dedicated to using business as a force for good in global health and development.
About the Position
Dimagi is looking for a Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships to join our growing SureAdhere Division. SureAdhere is a video‑observed‑therapy platform that supports remote treatment for medications in both care and clinical trial settings. It’s already having real impact—helping one recent TB trial reach 99% adherence, far above industry norms. Thanks to that success, we’re growing fast - and that’s just the beginning. You’ll play a key role in taking that impact even further—bringing SureAdhere to more trials, in more places, for more patients.
At Dimagi, we believe smart, mission-driven people can solve big challenges. You’ll be part of a collaborative leadership team shaping SureAdhere’s strategy, with plenty of space for growth and ownership.
In this role, you’ll lead our external engagement for clinical trials —attending conferences, building relationships across the pharma industry, and turning those connections into partnerships. You’ll also set up the internal systems we need to scale—prioritizing leads, managing the pipeline, and creating tools and processes to support a growing team. You’ll report to the Managing Director of SureAdhere and work closely with our Marketing, Customer Success, and Leadership teams to drive our next phase of growth.
Responsibilities
1. Strategic Networking & Industry Engagement
Own and execute a proactive conference‑and‑events strategy to identify, connect with, and deepen relationships across therapeutic areas.
- Curate and attend key scientific, clinical‑trial, and industry events globally
- Target and engage decision‑makers at pharma/biotech (e.g., clinical development)
- Represent our video‑observed‑therapy platform in panels, roundtables, and speaking slots
- Build a calendar and budget for “high‑leverage” engagements vs. exploratory networking
2. Partnership Development & Business Development Execution
Turn warm contacts into active BD opportunities and drive multi‑stakeholder conversations toward trials.
- Qualify and prioritize leads post-conference using a consistent scoring framework
- Own outreach sequences (email, phone, Linkedin) to convert interest into BD calls
- Lead presentation and discovery calls—articulating clinical/value propositions to cross‑functional teams
- Design and negotiate proof‑of‑concept agreements, SOWs, and business terms
- If a BD opportunity/lead stalls, perform rapid “next‑step analysis” to either re‑engage with a new angle or reallocate effort
- Own annual targets for the number of trials and expected revenue to be closed.
3. Pipeline Strategy & Team Enablement
Define, track, and optimize the partnership funnel—ensuring sustained revenue growth and process excellence.
- Build and maintain a transparent pipeline dashboard in a CRM
- Segment and tier accounts for targeted resource allocation (e.g., “A‑List” vs. “Discovery”)
- Set quarterly OKRs around MQL→SQL conversion, and partnership revenue
- Document repeatable processes, playbooks, and tools for outreach, and qualification
- Mentor and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, Corporate Ops) to streamline workflows and accelerate deal cycles
- Coordinate with Customer Success to ensure smooth early-stage trial delivery; share feature feedback from prospects with the Product team to inform roadmap decisions
Relevant Skills
At the core of this position, we are looking for smart, capable, motivated, and impact-driven people. As such, please consider the following areas listed to be general “guidelines” vs. strict qualifications:
- People‑First Engagement: Naturally builds rapport and credibility with diverse pharma stakeholders—approachable, engaging, and trustworthy
- Senior‑Level Experience: 8+ years in strategic advocacy, management or business development within the social‑impact or clinical research space
- Conference & External Representation: 4+ years representing your organization at a senior level across industry conferences and events
- Startup Agility: Proven track record thriving in fast‑paced, technology‑driven environments
- Travel Flexibility: Willing and able to attend a mix of domestic and international conferences or in-person engagements each quarter — with flexibility to determine the optimal number needed to sustain and grow the pipeline.
- BD Process Optimization: Skilled at identifying and removing deal‑cycle roadblocks, crafting creative pathways to advance opportunities
- Detail‑Oriented Multitasking: Able to juggle multiple high‑priority initiatives without losing sight of critical details
- Proven Deal Closer: Track record of leading and closing enterprise-scale business development deals or writing and winning complex global-health grants
- Process & Documentation Management: Highly organized in running complex workflows and keeping decks, Salesforce pipelines, SOWs, and all collateral up to date
