Dream a Dream is a non‐profit organization working to transform the experience of education
for the 130+ million children living in poverty in India. Our aim is to change the purpose of
education towards the idea of Thriving for every child. Since 1999, Dream a Dream has
mainstreamed life skills as a critical approach to help children overcome adversity and learn to
thrive. Today, the organization is transforming the Indian education ecosystem through its own
programmes, through curriculum and pedagogical innovations and through the development of
holistic assessment frameworks while also shifting the narratives around the purpose of
education. Dream a Dream’s work is spread across 7 Indian states with a reach of over 3.6
million children through strategic partnerships with state governments and collaborations with
other non‐profits and funders in India.

Salary: Rs. 9 lakhs to 9.96 lakhs per annum

Strategic Intent of the Role
The Design and Development focus area aims to shift mindsets in the education ecosystem by
building organization‐wide capacity in Dream a Dream’s approach through:
‐ Content Development and Dissemination
‐ Capacity Building in Facilitation and Facilitative Leadership
Role Summary
This role anchors the design, implementation, and impact tracking of Dream a Dream’s capacity‐
building work—internally and with external partners. You will design and deliver experiential
workshops, mentor facilitators, and strengthen collaborative learning environments. You will
also document field insights to inform strategy and ensure alignment with Dream a Dream’s
values of dignity, equity, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Capacity Building
Plan and coordinate training initiatives across focus areas and teams.
Facilitate workshops on life skills, thriving, experiential learning, and facilitative leadership.
Provide one‐on‐one mentoring on facilitation principles.
Co‐design and co‐facilitate immersive workshops (3–5 days) for diverse stakeholders.
Content Development & Contextualisation
Create and contextualize content grounded in Dream a Dream’s philosophy and IEOM
principles.
Design SEL and life skills modules that are adaptive to different geographies and audiences.
Support internal teams with content strategy and workshop designs.
Field Engagement & Impact
Conduct field visits to assess training quality and curriculum execution.
Gather insights from teachers, facilitators, and stakeholders to refine facilitation practices.
Develop tools/formats to monitor and report the impact of trainings.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
Document facilitation tools, workshop activities, and training designs for internal learning.
Capture ground‐level insights that support reflective decision‐making.
Support the creation of reports and learning documents across programs.
Internal Collaboration & Learning Culture
Foster collaboration across focus areas and nurture internal alignment.
Facilitate debriefs, reflection spaces, and cross‐team learning forums.
Build capacity of internal teams through peer mentoring and feedback.
External Engagement & Advocacy Support
Coordinate with external stakeholders (NGOs, government bodies, research agencies).
Represent Dream a Dream in partner workshops, network spaces, and trainings.
Collaborate with facilitators to support advocacy efforts in the education ecosystem.
Key Competencies and Skills
Deep experience in facilitation across age groups and contexts (min. 5‐6 years).
Skilled in holding safe, inclusive, and transformative learning spaces.
Strong ability to manage group dynamics, emotions, and triggers.
Creativity in workshop design and experiential learning techniques.
Comfort with ambiguity and ability to adapt in complex systems.
Strong documentation, project management, and coordination skills.
Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Kannada (spoken and written).
Prior experience with youth, teachers, and education systems is highly preferred.
Comfort with digital tools (MS Office, Trello, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.)
Qualifications
Trained facilitator with experience in co‐designing and co‐facilitating.
Proven ability to work across functions and build strong professional relationships.
Passion for education equity and alignment with Dream a Dream’s core values.
English, Kannada, and Hindi (fluency required)
Experience
5‐6 years in facilitation, education, or related fields
Travel Requirement
This role requires flexibility to travel locally and nationally based on program needs.
