130+ million children living in poverty in India. Our aim is to change the purpose of education towards
the idea of Thriving for every child. Since 1999, Dream a Dream has mainstreamed life skills as a critical
approach to help children overcome adversity and learn to thrive. Today, the organization is
transforming the Indian education ecosystem through its own programmes, through curriculum and
pedagogical innovations and through the development of holistic assessment frameworks while also
shifting the narratives around the purpose of education. Dream a Dream’s work is spread across 7
Indian states with a reach of over 3.6 million children through strategic partnerships with state
governments and collaborations with other non-profits and funders in India.

Role Objective/Purpose (Include overall objectives of the role, the need for the position):
Thriving Centre Programme is an integral part of the Innovation lab, which comes under the focus area
of Direct Impact. The Thriving Centre Programme is a demonstrable model of out-of-school learning
spaces that develops designs, principles, and approaches aimed at building insights, geared towards
thriving and redefining the purpose of education. This program works with young people aged 15 to
23 to facilitate thriving journeys for young people and community.
The Role of Executive: Managing Skills Up Program to bring various skills based young people passion
to explore their self and learning new skills at the Thriving Centre and facilitation is an integral part of
Dream a Dream. It is believed that facilitation is a powerful and significant tool or a way to take
everyone along, to make each being feel heard and seen. The role of a facilitator is centered around a
facilitation approach to enable a thriving journey in by creating a safe space where community/young
people can be resilient, responsible, and happy to reach their potential to reimagine a better future
for themselves and society.
Roles and Responsibilities: –
Facilitation
• Facilitating workshops and sessions in an engaging format
• Foundational facilitation skills: energisers, warm up, exercises, warm up, mindfulness, and other
innovative techniques that suits the needs of the group.
• Using arts, play, and technology as a medium to facilitate interventions, like theatre, drawing,
songs, music, football, and other engaging activities.
• Practice Strength-based facilitation.
• Execute structured sessions based on the standard curriculum.
• Able to establish their credibility as a facilitator.
• Able to articulate real stories e.g.: personal stories, young people stories etc. to engage the group.
• Engage body, mind, and emotions in facilitation.
• Provide clear and concise instructions.
• Understand and work with group dynamics.
• Practice Validation during delivery (Listening, Reflection, Wheel of experience, Normalise In –
terms of Past and Present and Honest response)
• Ability to give and receive feedback in; connect-disconnect-connect style.
Design
• Able to design a minimum of 2-day workshops using the Arc of Transformation.
• Able to design activities using the IEOM (Intention, Essential, Obstacles and Magic) Principles.
Training
• Train other facilitators / stakeholders on the impact of adversity on child development (Reference:
Dream a Dream Mentoring Program).
• Train facilitators / stakeholders on basics of 3 P’s. e.g.: Strength-based facilitation, IPC, giving and
receiving feedback, Wise Why’s etc.
•Programme Implementation, Operation, Monitoring and Reporting
• Basic technical skills such as basic computer skills and documentation.
• Flexibility to travel is necessary. There will be opportunities to travel and facilitate according to
the need of the program and place – Locally, Interstate, Nationally and Internationally
• Proficient in platforms like Microsoft Office& Internets basic computer Knowledge.
• Strong spoken Communication and articulations skills Fluency in Kannada & English
• Strong experience in data & program documents managements skills.
• Flexible with work timings and ability to work with Virtual Platform
• To engage with young people/external trainer through facilitative approach to deliver the skills up
program
• Co-facilitate and co-design curriculum/content with young people
• Ensure to build rapport with Skill development partners to bring various courses for young people
(National Skill Development Program, Skill India and other Organizations)
