We believe every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential — and that strong foundations in literacy and numeracy are where this begins.

EIDU partners with governments to strengthen public education systems at scale. Our technology-enabled platform integrates proven educational interventions and supports learners, teachers, education officers, and ministry staff within national systems.

Today, we work with 41 governments and will reach 1,000,000 active students across Kenya and Nigeria in 2026. We have doubled our learner numbers each year over the last five years and aim to reach tens of millions more. A randomized controlled trial found a 0.53 standard deviation improvement in learning outcomes — placing EIDU among the top 10% of education interventions in low- and middle-income countries.

We combine analytical rigor, entrepreneurial drive, and disciplined execution. As we scale, we are building an organization capable of turning strategy into measurable impact at national scale.
We're looking for a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Manager to form an integral part of the Research, Learning and AI team. You will ensure effective data collection, analysis, reporting, and knowledge management to enhance EIDU programs’ performance, impact measurement, and learning.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive M&E framework for EIDU's Nigeria programs, defining the metrics, methodologies, and data collection systems that track real-world impact across participating states.
  • Lead end-to-end research and evaluation projects across the full cycle: from scoping and instrument design through fieldwork, analysis, and dissemination of findings to internal and external stakeholders including state and federal government partners.
  • Manage government research engagement and oversee monitoring and evaluation activities in collaboration with Nigerian state education ministries and agencies.
  • Lead impact evaluations, including RCTs, exploring the effects of education interventions on literacy and numeracy skills and transition outcomes of children in EIDU programs.
  • Build the SOPs, tools, and templates that standardize how we collect, manage, and report data across programs, creating infrastructure that scales with our growth.
  • Identify and pursue strategic opportunities to expand the department's work and influence through partnership development and responses to RFPs, particularly with Nigerian and international funders.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration, ensuring research initiatives are cohesively integrated with organizational strategies and key projects are executed on time.
  • Work closely with the Director of Research and AI, supporting decision-making and priority-setting in Nigeria.
  • A genuine desire to use your skills to drive positive social change in education.
  • Ph.D. or advanced degree in social sciences, data science, or education, with 6+ years of M&E experience in international development, EdTech, or education programs in Nigeria or similar low- and middle-income contexts.
  • Proven track record building and running M&E frameworks from the ground up — including both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, field research, and evaluation studies such as RCTs.
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills with hands-on experience using tools such as STATA, R, or Python to interpret and communicate research findings.
  • At least 2 years managing communications and M&E activities with government entities, ideally Nigerian state or federal education bodies.
  • Clear, confident communicator who can translate technical findings for non-technical audiences and engage effectively across cultures and seniority levels.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable with end-to-end project ownership in a fast-moving, start-up environment.
  • A supportive, international team based in Kenya, Nigeria, and Germany, united by a mission and commitment to learning.
  • A healthy work-life balance with flexible hours, an async-friendly culture that respects personal time and autonomy, and a hybrid setup.
  • An open environment where feedback is welcomed promoting mutual growth.
  • Rapid personal development & opportunity to take on responsibility and have impact.
  • The chance to see your work in action through field visits to classrooms abroad.
  • A rare opportunity to combine deep technical work with real-world global impact.
