About Food for Education
Food for Education (F4E) is building the systems that enable large-scale, locally financed school feeding. We deliver hot, nutritious, low-cost meals to public primary school children across Kenya, more than 600,000 every school day, through a model that blends public budgets, parent contributions, and private-sector efficiency.
Our goal is to feed 1 million Kenyan children daily by 2027 and to share our learnings with partners across Africa to reach millions more by 2030.
We’re an African-led, women-led social enterprise that uses technology, logistics, and data to solve one of the continent’s most persistent challenges: ensuring that no child has to learn while hungry.

About the Internal Consulting Team
The Internal Consulting Team is a new, high-impact function designed to supercharge F4E’s growth. Acting as an internal accelerator, the team partners with leaders across the organization—operations, finance, impact, people, etc.—to solve complex problems, strengthen systems, and drive organizational change.
From improving kitchen efficiency to rethinking how we scale to new counties or countries, this team’s work turns big questions into actionable plans. Every project contributes directly to F4E’s next phase of expansion and to our ability to deliver nutritious meals at greater scale and with greater reliability.
This is an early-stage team, which means there’s enormous room to shape how it operates—its identity, standards, and long-term value to the organization.

About the role
As Manager, Internal Consulting, you’ll serve as the engagement owner for high-priority internal consulting projects. You’ll lead work end-to-end—from scoping and analysis through execution and handover—while mentoring Associates and Analysts who support the work. This is not a formal people-management role. Instead, it’s a project leadership and coaching role. You’ll set direction, delegate effectively, raise the quality bar, and ensure our work is rigorous, practical, and useful to the teams we serve. You’ll think like a management consultant but act like an operator: comfortable moving from frameworks and data to field realities and follow-through.

Who you are
  • You think like a management consultant: you can structure ambiguous problems, use data to drive clarity, and communicate insight simply.

  • You’ve managed end-to-end projects and love setting up engagement teams for success.

  • You have 3-4 years of experience in management consulting.

  • You’re confident shifting between doing and teaching: building analyses one day and coaching the team the next.

  • You have strong organizational and communication skills; you can synthesize information for any audience.

  • You value curiosity and humility—your success comes from making others better.

  • You’re energized by purpose-driven work and excited by the idea of building systems that feed millions of children.
