Gigs Introduction:
Working on an internal gig presents a myriad of benefits that can enrich both your professional and personal growth. Collaborating with others offers opportunities to develop new skills, expand your knowledge base, and build lasting relationships with colleagues across different departments. Working on internal gigs allows you to contribute directly to the organization's goals, fostering a sense of ownership and pride in your work. Additionally, being part of an internal gig provides exposure to diverse perspectives and innovative ideas, enhancing your communication, collaboration, project management, problem-solving abilities, and creativity. Gigs are ONLY available to GYE employees.
Project Overview:
This gig offers the opportunity to lead the strategic organization of the PDS Library of resources within GenInfo, centralizing best practices, processes, and strategies to empower and support country teams. You will provide thought leadership on how resources are structured, ensuring they are accessible, user-friendly, and impactful. You will be the architect of the library, designing it from the ground up to ensure the newly created PDS team offers a valued and accessible library of resources to our network.
Learning Opportunities in This Gig:
· Process Optimization: By centralizing the PDS Team’s collective resources, you will have the opportunity to refine your process-oriented thinking and skills. You'll play a key role in improving how we make resources more accessible while ensuring their quality and impact are maintained.
· User-Centric Design: In designing user-friendly systems and resources, you’ll focus on the needs of our users (e.g., country teams) and structure the Library with their interaction in mind, ensuring the content is easy to navigate and impactful.
· Impact Measurement: As you contribute to shaping the Library, you will help define how we measure its impact and usage (e.g., Annual Survey). This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop an approach to impact measurement that allows us to adapt and improve the library based on feedback.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will work closely with the Program Implementation Manager and Systems Operations Associates to align the Library with the diverse needs of our stakeholders, fostering strong collaboration.
· Content Structuring & Knowledge Management: This role will help you enhance your skills in designing and organizing a scalable, user-friendly resource hub that supports delivery excellence. We are eager for fresh and creative perspectives in this area!
Requirements:
You will work closely with Rachel Williams (Program Implementation Manager) and Jorge Pampliega (Systems Operations Associate) for 3 to 4 hours per week, up to 12 weeks. Ideal start date is flexible. The exact schedule to be agreed.
Specifically, you will:
· Collaborate with the Program Implementation Manager to design and structure the GenInfo Library in alignment with gig objectives. Audit existing resources from an affiliate perspective to refine operational guidance and process documents.
· Design new process guidance to streamline operations and improve resource accessibility for country teams.
· Engage with the stakeholders (country teams) to understand and incorporate their perspective into our space.
· Propose innovative solutions to enhance the usability and engagement of resources, ensuring they meet the needs of country teams.
