SECONDMENT OBJECTIVES:

The secondee will contribute directly to Global Partnership success by engaging a portfolio of global donors. This includes preparing high-quality impact reports that clearly demonstrate project outcomes and social impact; working closely with the Global Grants Lead to ensure all impact data is accurate and reports are submitted on time; providing regular updates to internal and external stakeholders on project progress and challenges; and collaborating closely with functional and country teams to ensure project success. Beyond core account management responsibilities, the role will also contribute to a selected functional priority of the Global Partnerships team, such as our biannual funder newsletter or funding dashboards.

This is a part-time secondment opportunity for candidates based within 3 hours of Eastern Time (ET) or willing to flex their working hours, and the successful candidate will fulfill this role for 50% of their time from June 1, 2026 through May 31, 2027.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Account Management and Reporting (primary focus):

  • Lead a portfolio of funder accounts, acting act as the primary point of contact for donors (as appropriate), functions, and country teams, addressing their needs in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with country and functional teams in an efficient and effective way to compile funder reports, ensure project progress and get to resolution on challenges quickly
  • Proactively identify challenges and/or delays and address them effectively with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Prepare and execute timelines for report submissions, accounting for rounds of reviews, iterations, and potential platform issues
  • Draft impact reports and presentations for funders that are compelling and accurate (with the Global Grants Lead), requiring minimal oversight
  • Finalize reports, ensuring that those that have multiple stakeholder inputs have a clear structure and are written in 'one voice' resulting in minimal feedback from reviewers
  • Maintain donor documentation on Google Drive and Salesforce, including grant agreements, key correspondence, meeting notes, final versions of submitted deliverables, etc,
  • Lead donor engagement through initiatives such as communications, volunteering, and in-kind donations, in close partnerships with supporting functions
  • Lead efforts with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the visibility of our partnerships and partners' support (e.g. learner stories, annual reports, social media posts...)

Funding Renewal (primary focus):

  • Proactively identify and scope new funding opportunities with active donors
  • Significantly contribute to partnership renewal discussions with our active partners
  • Support the end-to-end funding renewal process, including narrative and budget proposals and engagement with countries/functions until submission

Team Collaboration and Capability Building:

  • Support the updating and creation of resources that will make the Partnerships team more efficient and effective (e.g., proposal templates, Salesforce for Partnerships)
  • Support a strategic team priority (funder newsletter or data dashboards)
  • Collaborate closely with country teams and our functional teams, including the Partnerships team, the Data & Impact team, the Finance team, the Program Delivery Support team, the Communications team, and the Digital team to ensure smooth project implementation and adherence to budgetary constraints and compliance standards.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to regional leads and country teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal:

  • Partners with Global Partnerships Lead, Global Grants Lead, and other members of the global Partnerships team to manage existing accounts that fuel the growth of Generation.
  • Coordinates with country leadership, country partnerships teams, and regional leads across the Generation network to manage reporting for existing funders and help deliver on new cross-regional partnership program opportunities.
  • Works collaboratively with the Global functional leaders for reporting on existing accounts and the development of new partnership program concepts and proposal development.
  • Works closely with the Global Grants Lead and global finance team to ensure high-quality delivery and management of partnerships.

External:

  • Helps maintain relationships with external funders who support Generation.

KEY METRICS:

  • Successful project delivery, on time and within budget.
  • Donor satisfaction with project implementation and deliverables.
  • Partnership renewal with our active accounts (when possible).
  • Grant proposals leading to new partnerships.
  • Collaborative work environment with functional and country teams.

ATTRIBUTES:

Qualifications:

  • Based within three hours of Eastern Time (ET) or willing to flex their working hours to enable effective communication with our Americas‑based funding partners.
  • 4 - 5 years of experience in fundraising, strategy design and implementation, program design and management, and/or account management.
  • Full fluency in English. Proficiency in any other language used in the Generation network is a plus.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
