Manchester, NH

However, partial remote work from the following states may also be considered: Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont.

The Opportunity

As the Student Involvement Coordinator, you will work as a part of the Student Involvement team to advise and support clubs and organizations for both campus-based and online students. You will report to the Assistant Director of Student Involvement. Along with the Assistant Director of Student Involvement, you will be a contact for online clubs, managing an online social platform, and improving the delivery of student support services, events, and engagement opportunities to the online community. Additionally, you will help with the advisement and management of the Involvement Hub, supporting campus events and traditions. As the Office of Student Involvement supports both campus and online students, you will work with the Assistant Director to support both populations and will help build out a structure for both campus and online clubs that supports all SNHU students. This is a dual-place role meaning that you may report to the main campus located in Manchester, NH at least 2 times per week. "#LI-hybrid"

In this role you will get to:

  • Help with the oversight and operations of up to 80 clubs, both campus-based and online.

  • Recruit, train, and manage more than 10 student employees in the Involvement Hub.

  • Oversee the recognition process for new online student organizations.

  • Manage the Involvement Hub’s programming, supplies, and events budget.

  • Help with the recruitment, training, and support of club advisors, providing tools and best practices.

  • Develop and improve communications to club leaders and members regarding social content in SNHUconnect, the institution’s online engagement platform.

  • Oversee club operations, including roster management, club event support, prize packs, and club elections and transitions.

  • Plan and orchestrate biannual Engagement Fairs for all online clubs and organizations.

  • Provide leadership development opportunities to club leaders and members, including training and ongoing support, resources, and tools.

  • Help with the recognition process for professional student organizations, ensuring that all MOUs are reviewed, approved, and according to our missions and club operations guide.

  • Present involvement opportunities both in-person and virtually, assisting with club events and departmental events

  • Collaborate with university partners on projects that support student engagement efforts.

  • Support departmental programs including orientations, involvement fairs, traditions, and other departmental events, and institutional traditions such as commencement and related events.

  • Work regular nights and weekends outside of traditional business hours.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What we are looking for:

  • 1-2 years of professional work experience in student services or related field.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • The ability to work with a diverse range of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other members of the campus community.

  • The ability to organize learning opportunities that are consistent with students’ stages of development.

  • The ability to develop and assess student learning outcomes.

  • The ability to lift 50lbs.

  • Have a valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to navigate technology and learn different platforms.
