The Opportunity

The School of Business at Southern New Hampshire University's campus is looking for candidates for our open Assistant Professor of Management Science and Information Systems positions to teach at the graduate level. You will be located onsite at our Manchester, NH campus. You will report to the Dean for the School of Business. These positions will start in 2024, with the potential to start earlier in the spring 2024 term.

There are three possible areas for this position:

  • Teach Information Technology courses. Course topics would include systems analysis and design, innovations in IT, object-oriented application development, operating systems, telecommunications and networking, and database design.
  • Teach Information Systems and Business Analytics courses. Course topics would include analysis and design of systems, object-oriented application development, Python, SQL, visualization tools, and introductory business analytics.
  • Teach Business Analytics courses. Course topics would include introductory business analytics, descriptive analytics, prescriptive analytics, predictive analytics, and visualization tools.

In this Role You'll Get To:

  • Prep for and deliver content for assigned courses; you will teach three to four 3-credit courses per semester
  • Access and assess student work and provide feedback
  • Use Brightspace (the Learning Management System) to support the course
  • Provide five office hours per week
  • Complete additional hours for class prep and student assessment
  • Demonstrate excitement for the field and engage our students with engaging teaching practices in the classroom.

What we're Looking For:

  • A earned Master’s degree and 3+ years of industry experience or a Doctoral degree in Information Systems, Analytics, Information Technology, or related field.
