The Opportunity

The ITS Media Services Event Coordinator reports to the Director of Media Service. You will provide AV support for all business and academic events at SNHU. For a high volume of both onsite and virtual events, the ITS Media Services Event Coordinator works with a variety of business clients to coordinate the right systems and staffing for each event. Analyze requirements and detailed planning for cameras, sound systems, video displays, lighting, microphones, streaming, music, and other AV support is performed to meet event-specific needs for indoor and outdoor venues of all sizes. The ITS Media Services Event Coordinator manages the SNHU event pipeline and orchestrates resources to deliver seamless event support – often in high-profile situations. We are looking for organization, communication, and customer service skills in addition to excellent AV technical, project management and team leadership skills. Success for this role is measured in delivery of high-quality events for the SNHU community. This role is 100% on site.

In this role you will :

  • You will oversee and assess the event support request process ensuring collection of pre-production information and all relevant details captured in appropriate systems.
  • You will Partner with Conference Services, Admissions, SNHU leaders and other event/facility owners to manage event pipeline, anticipate requirements, make recommendations, and provide plenty of lead time for budget, equipment and staff planning.
  • You will Orchestrate video support, livestreaming, sound systems, lighting, microphones and all other AV assets and services to meet event goals. Coordinate with external vendors for rentals, specialized equipment or services.
  • You will set expectations, manage schedules and keep internal clients informed of issues, progress, changes or delays. Ensure quick resolution of technical issues and minimal changes for every event.
  • You will Maintain existing AV equipment, recommend new equipment for future use and work with capital projects to ensure equipment is installed in event locations. Perform inventory and lifecycle management for portable equipment used at SNHU events.
  • You will analyze historical event data; produce event schedule and status reports. Monitor client satisfaction results and advocate for best practices for event management at SNHU.
  • You will collaborate with Director Media Services, monitor staff availability and schedule appropriate staff and equipment to ensure coverage for all approved and scheduled events.
  • You will remove obstacles, anticipate and resolve problems, provide guidance, training and other help to provide excellent service
  • Other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

We would like to see:

  • Typically requires bachelor's degree in Audio Visual or related technical field and 3+ years relevant experience. Relevant experience must include a background in AV and complex live event production.
  • Equivalent of experience in lieu of degree acceptable.
  • Knowledge of acoustics, live sound reinforcement and sound processing equipment needed for clean audio.
  • Knowledge of video event production, live streaming technology, and best practices.
  • Understanding of ServiceNow and Global Viewer Enterprise (GVE).
  • Experience with customer service support practices.
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Premier and DaVinci Resolve.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and MS Teams.
  • Proficient in Windows and Mac/iOS platforms relative to AV connectivity and display settings.
  • Proficient in projector technology including LCD, LED, Laser, and wireless.
  • Experience with Technical skills and problem-solving abilities including capacity to logically troubleshoot and resolve complex technology issues.
  • Professional Certification(s): Extron AV Associate, ITIL Foundations
