The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University’s traditional campus is currently seeking an Esports Arena Technician to support the varsity Esports program. The Esports Arena Technician will work within our Operations Team and be responsible for operating and maintaining the space we have on campus. In addition, they will work with the Esports Operations Manager to coordinate events and help build a strong community within the Esports Space and campus.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operation of the SNHU Esports Arena.
  • Guest check in at gaming stations.
  • Preparation for live events.
  • Install games, software, drivers, and troubleshoot issues with computers in the Esports Arena.
  • Maintain stations in the Esports Arena including resetting area back to normal protocol and sanitizing stations in between users.
  • Introducing Students, Faculty, and Staff to the arena and explaining our mission, goal, and program.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in an Undergraduate program at SNHU
  • Work Study as part of financial aid package
  • Strong information technology skills including Windows 10, gaming and peripheral software, and user administration software
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Respectfulness and exceptional communication skills
  • Experience with technology utilized in esports/gaming
  • Customer Service Mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with collegiate esports
  • Knowledge of technology utilized in esports (Discord, Game Platforms, Windows, Peripherals)
  • Customer Service Experience

Work Hours:

Flexible shift hours between 8:00am-10:00pm
