The opportunity

Southern NH University is seeing a student employee to fill the role of Lab Assistant. This position is designed for students that are looking for a role in assisting other students with 3D printing, laser cutting, Wood Shop support and general lab protocols. Training will be provided and the Lab Assistant position does not require all of the above skill sets. The Lab Assistant will be available to assist students during open lab times. The Lab Assistant will ensure that students adhere to all safety protocols and support student work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee general lab safety

• Teach materials and equipment fundamentals

• Assist with lab projects and other project teams

• Ensure that student groups cleanup lab areas and put all tools away

• Report broken tooling

• Report all injuries

Minimum Requirements:

• Enrolled in a SNHU degree program
