The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University is looking for faculty to teach in our General Education courses specifically in the area of Ethics. As an online faculty member, you will work collaboratively in a supportive academic environment, partnering with student advising and the academic team to ensure that each student has the support and tools they need to be successful.

Currently seeking instructors for the following courses:

PHL-218: Ethics in Global Society

PHL-260: Ethical Decision-making and Problem-Solving

What You'll Do:

  • You will provide a high level of student outreach and connect with students, academic advisors and team leads on a frequent basis to ensure student success
  • You will engage and offer an increased and creative presence in the classroom
  • You will provide substantial student feedback and offer a quick turnaround on grades

What we're Looking For:

  • Masters in subject areas of Philosophy, Humanities, Interdisciplinary Studies, Cultural Studies, Global Studies, Social Sciences or Ethics degree from an accredited higher education institution
  • 1+ years of experience teaching similar content at high school level or above OR experience facilitating training of related content in a group setting.
  • Demonstrated academic or professional content knowledge/scholarship in ethics and ethical issues with multicultural or global content.
  • Experience working with diverse student groups.

Compensation:

The standard compensation for courses is $2,200 per 8-week undergraduate course.

Undergraduate adjuncts are paid bi-weekly and are considered W-2 employees of Southern NH University.
