The opportunity
The Administrative Manager reports to the dean and provides strategic oversight of administrative operations, serving as a key member of the school’s leadership team. This role involves advanced decision-making responsibilities, including developing and implementing administrative processes, managing budgets, and coordinating interdepartmental activities to align with the school’s objectives. The Administrative Manager exercises independent judgment on matters of significance, directly impacts the school’s goals, and represents the dean's office in communications with both internal and external stakeholders.
You Will:
- Develop, Implement, and refine administrative policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency across the school.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the dean, providing high-level administrative support by scheduling and preparing for meetings, creating agendas, and overseeing the follow-up of critical tasks.
- Oversee and manage departmental and school-wide budgets, including the allocation of funds, tracking expenses, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial policies. Approve purchases and reallocate funds as necessary.
- Manage and mentor student workers or graduate assistants, setting performance goals, evaluating progress, and providing feedback to ensure high standards are met.
- Serve as a primary point of contact and liaison for the dean’s office, managing communications with internal departments, external partners, and other team members to support the school’s strategic goals.
- Oversee the management of one or more office buildings, including coordinating with other departments and external vendors to ensure efficient use of space and resources.
- Lead the execution of special events, staff retreats, and leadership meetings, including agenda development, logistics, and team member communication.
- Conduct analysis of complex data from various sources, prepare reports, and provide relevant insights to the dean and school leadership for strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with university policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and proactively address issues to mitigate risks.
- Exercise independent judgment on administrative and operational matters, making recommendations, resolving issues, and implementing solutions to advance the school’s goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrated experience in a role with increasing administrative responsibilities.
- Experience in data management and reporting.
- Proven experience in managing budgets and financial reconciliation.
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with senior leadership and across various departments.

Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is $51,608.00 - $82,590.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $57,027.00 - $77,155.00.
