The opportunity
Job Summary:
The School of Engineering, Technology, and Aeronautics (SETA) at Southern New Hampshire University is currently seeking a Student Worker to fill the role of Lab Assistant for our campus location to assist the Lab Operations Department with ongoing projects and events. This position is designed for students that are looking for a role in assisting other students with 3D printing, laser cutting, Wood Shop support, and general lab protocols. Training will be provided.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist SETA Lab Operations with projects
- Assist with the 3D printing of student projects
- Help with preparation, set up, and take down for Academic events
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient lab environment
- Teach materials and equipment fundamentals (training provided)
- Assist with lab projects and other project teams within all SETA Lab spaces
- Test new software, mostly in our Virtual Reality area
- Adapt to new tasks and responsibilities in support of dynamic engineering needs
Minimum Qualifications:
- Enrollment in a SNHU degree program
- Must be in good academic standing
- Eligible for Federal Work Study as part of their financial aid package
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
