The opportunity
The Game and Interactive Technologies Department at Southern New Hampshire University is looking for candidates for an Instructor of Game Programming and Design. Reporting to the Dean of the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education, this is a full-time on-site position at our campus in Manchester, New Hampshire. Drawing from your own experience, you will bring your own game development knowledge into the classroom to engage students and lead them toward roles in the games industry. Our program features studio-based and team-oriented work.
What you'll do:
- Prep for and deliver content for assigned courses including introductory, intermediate, and advanced game programming and game development using Unity3D or Unreal game engines. The teaching load is four 3-credit courses. Class sessions are either 75 minutes meeting twice a week or 150 minutes that meet once a week.
- Assess student work and provide feedback.
- Coach in a studio environment where students may work in teams on real-world projects.
- Use a Learning Management System to support courses and host course materials.
- Hold five hours of office hours throughout the week. Hours for class prep and student assessment are expected to make up the balance of the full-time load.
- Conduct original scholarship and provide institutional service.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in game programming, computer science, or a related field
- Demonstrated industry experience
- 3+ years of experience with C++ or C#
- Practical knowledge of game development pipelines

Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is $60,000.00 - $85,000.00. Actual offer will be based on experience, skills, degree, discipline and other business and organizational needs.
