The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the position of Donation & Supply Organization Specialist for our partner organization REACH Crisis Services in Manchester, NH. This is a project-based student employment opportunity with REACH Crisis Services, focused on improving organization and accessibility across key resource areas. The student employee will support the coordination and arrangement of materials within the donation closet, office supply room, and clothing boutique.

This opportunity is project-based and offers a flexible schedule and can be completed over the course of several days or weeks, depending on availability. Students are welcome to coordinate schedules with peers if they prefer to work alongside another student employee.


Student employees will not engage directly with REACH clients. All work will be completed under the guidance and support of REACH staff members.

This is a temporary, project-based position. Employment will conclude upon successful completion of the assigned organization projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sort, organize, and inventory items within designated spaces
  • Improve layout and labeling systems to enhance accessibility and efficiency
  • Assist with maintaining a clean, functional, and well-organized environment
  • Collaborate with staff to implement organization strategies and priorities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
  • Work study part of financial aid package
  • Students with work study may be prioritized
  • Reliable transportation

Learning Outcomes:

  • Organize and manage physical inventory systems effectively
  • Create clear labeling and categorization processes
  • Demonstrate attention to detail in sorting and tracking materials
  • Collaborate with staff to complete project goals
  • Manage time and complete tasks within a flexible schedule

Work Schedule: The office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility is available, with the option to begin as early as 8:00 a.m. on select days.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
