The opportunity
Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) is looking for a Workforce Partnership Lead who will help us build the university through the identification and establishment of new strategic partnerships with important workforce and corporate entities. You will report to the VP of Business Development and will lead business development, prospecting, and strategic planning. You will identify, pursue, negotiate, and build new partnerships that align with SNHU's goals and contribute to its long-term success in workforce education.
This is a remote position "#LI-Remote" with 10% - 15% travel expectations.
What you'll do:
- New Partnership Prospecting and Development: Evaluate prospective corporate and workforce partner opportunities aligned with SNHU's strategic goals. Build a pipeline of new partner prospects through proactive outreach, market research, and industry networking. Leverage CRM tools and data insights to prioritize and track pipeline activity.
- Enterprise Relationship Engagement: Cultivate and establish relationships with senior-level decision-makers and partners at prospective organizations. Build partnership credibility to facilitate initial engagement and lay the groundwork for long-term collaboration.
- Negotiation and Deal Structuring: Lead negotiations with prospective partners to secure favorable terms and initial partnership agreements. Structure partnership deals that are mutually beneficial and align with SNHU's interests and workforce education mission. Ensure agreement on financial targets and return on investment expectations
- Contract Management: Oversee the drafting, review, and execution of new partnership agreements and contracts. Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and agreement with internal procedures.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with our teams including sales, marketing, product development, operations, and legal to align new partnership plans with our goals. Coordinate efforts to support the onboarding and launch of new partnership programs.
- Market Analysis: Stay up to date with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities related to workforce education partnerships. Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and potential new partnership prospects.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with new partnership plans. Develop mitigation strategies to address risks and ensure the successful launch of new partnership programs.
- Partnership Transition: Collaborate with Account Management and Partnership Operations. This collaboration ensures a seamless transition from a closed contract into an active account, facilitating a smooth handoff. The goal is to set new partners up for long-term success.
- External Representation and Employer Engagement: Represent SNHU at external conferences, industry events, and forums to raise brand visibility and foster new relationships with employer partners across corporate and government sectors.
- Event Strategy and Sponsorships: Identify and recommend events and sponsorship opportunities for SNHU to participate in to build brand presence and expand the workforce partnership pipeline across target markets.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 10% - 15% upon request.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 8+ years of experience in new business development focusing on generating new revenue including developing strategies, finding prospects, pitching and closing deals.
- Experience with corporate partnership development, or related roles.
- Experience in contract negotiation and deal structuring.
- Experience in market data analysis, trends, data literacy, and business case development.
- Experience managing and reporting on pipeline performance metrics.

Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is $85,563.00 - $136,928.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $94,548.00 - $127,918.00.Exceptional benefits (because you’re exceptional)
