Job Summary
International Student Services is seeking a student worker as an I-Team Front Desk Assistant within our office in the Green Center. I-Team Assistants provide support and assistance to staff members, current students, and alum. This position’s primary focus is to be the initial point person to greet visitors and answer general questions. Assistants will also support ISS programs. As an I-Team Assistant, you will gain valuable professional experience while making a meaningful impact on our students and campus community.
This student leader will gain meaningful experience in event planning, peer engagement, digital communication, and administrative operations while developing essential skills aligned with the NACE Career Readiness Competencies.
Job Responsibilities
Office and Administrative:
- Be present, attentive, and accessible to provide a warm, professional welcome to visitors in person and on the phone, answering inquiries and directing individuals to appropriate on-campus and community resources.
- Be knowledgeable of and assist students in navigating SNHU’s web platforms, including mySNHU, the ISS Booking System, Service Now Portal and Brightspace.
- Support ISS staff by accepting and distributing mail/packages; tracking and organizing department and program supplies.
- Maintain the front office’s professional appearance and shared spaces, including the Green Center Living Room.
- Attend I-Team meetings and training sessions as required.
- Assist the ISS Associate Director with signature events (i.e., our monthly Cooking and Conversations, International Education Week, Escape to the Islands, etc.,) through event planning, support, realization and clean up.
- Support program marketing, including designing flyers, developing social media campaigns and creating promotional videos via Capcut for Instagram and other channels.
- Create, schedule, and analyze content to increase engagement with the ISS community.
New Student Check-In and Orientation:
- Actively participate in three check-ins and orientations per year (December/January, April/May, & August), welcoming new international students and providing essential information about SNHU services and programs.
- Assist with the immigration document scanning process during check-in. Maintaining confidentiality of all documents.
- Present during orientation on ISS services, programs, and mySNHU; provide campus tours as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Enrolled as an on-campus student at SNHU.
- MUST be available for shifts Monday - Friday between the hours of 10:00 am – 3:00 pm for approximately 10-15 hours per week.
- Punctual, reliable and self-motivated in fulfilling responsibilities.
- Effective communication skills and respectfulness.
- Competency with using office equipment.
- Willingness to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Interest in supporting SNHU’s international student community.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service.
- Knowledge of social media and content creation.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of programs.

Work Schedule
- Approximately 10-15 hours per week.
- Scheduled shifts between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm, with occasional evening or weekend hours to assist with events.

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
