This is a hybrid position that requires 8 days per month in the office. You can be based in our office in London and the Hague. Existing work authorization is required at the time of application submission, as WRI is unable to sponsor any visa work sponsorship for this position. To be eligible for this position, you must be a resident of London and the Hague at the start of employment.
What you will do:
Project & Program Management (80%):
Support and ensure all team members develop and maintain detailed and up-to-date project plans for all deliverables, setting clear objectives, tasks and timelines and track progress using Asana
Support and ensure all team members identify and assess significant project risks, regularly monitor these, ensure appropriate mitigation plans are in place, and promptly flag any changes in risk status to project leadership and relevant stakeholders
Support Director of Urban Efficiency and Climate track deliverables against acceptance criteria and compiling and evaluating project outcomes, including progress assessment
Manage all internal Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (PMEL) requirements
Coordinate donor report preparation; gather inputs and synthesize cohesive narratives ensuring timely submission
Schedule and organise monthly CHAMP Project Team and CHAMP Project Board meetings, prepare all necessary pre- and post-meeting documentations, and document decisions and action items
Facilitate regular lessons learned reviews to inform decision-making, proactively identify risks, and advise on process improvements to increase team efficiency
Collaboration (20%):
Direct, motivate, and mentor the Project Coordinator, establishing clear performance goals and development plan
Facilitate internal communication, information sharing, and knowledge management; ensuring project team remains aligned around programme priorities and deadlines
Build strong cross-functional relationships with other WRI workstreams and WRI country offices to facilitate project planning and reporting
Support Director of Urban Efficiency and Climate, CHAMP Project Board and WRI Ambassadors with progress updates and ad hoc requests.
What you will need:
Education: You have a completed bachelor’s degree in project management, international development, nonprofit management or related field. A project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar) is desirable
Experience: You have experience in project or program management, ideally in international, climate, or nonprofit sectors
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects across diverse teams and managing competing priorities
Demonstrated familiarity with grant management and donor reporting requirements
Experience working with project management methodologies and best practice
Proficiency with project management tools and platforms (CRM software, Asana, Microsoft Project or similar)
Demonstrated ability to navigate challenges and find pragmatic solutions
Languages: You are proficient in spoken and written English

Potential Salary: The UK Salary range is between 45,000 and 56,300 GBP. The Hague salary range is between 53,148 and 66,482 Euros. Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors.
