This is a hybrid position which requires 8 days per month in the office. You will be based in our office in Nairobi, Kenya. Existing work authorization is required at the time of application submission as WRI is unable to sponsor any visa work sponsorship for this position.

Job Highlight:
You will support the financial, operations, and administrative processes for the P4G initiative within WRI. Your daily work will include updating budgets, processing contract agreements, ensuring grant compliance, collaborating with P4G staff on projects, and guiding staff through internal processes and systems. You will be supported by the P4G operations team and partnerships team as well as various operations staff members across WRI. You will report to the Operations Manager, P4G.
This position will be a hybrid model of remote and in-office
What you will do:
Budgeting and Financial Management (30% time)
Support the P4G Operations team on day-to-day project finances, reviewing financial transactions and keeping budgets up to date in WRI’s financial software
Support budget monitoring of the project against a multiyear output-based budget
Supporting financial reporting and financial audits
Support the development of annual budgets linked to the workplan and result frameworks
Contribute to the long-term financial strategies, including the development of new proposal budgets and financial growth strategies.
Grants & Contracts Management (30% time)
Collaborate with P4G team to ensure compliance with terms and conditions of funding awards
Process and maintain subgrant and contract agreements with partners, including administering payments, and amending agreements in collaboration with the partnerships team as needed.
Support the P4G Operations Manager and grants management team in monitoring sub-awardee compliance with administrative grant requirements, including the timely submission of reports and audits.
Operations and Administration (40% time)
Support the P4G Operations Manager to ensure the timely and accurate submission of progress and financial reports as well as compliance with internal budgeting, contract, and procurement processes and deadlines.
Assist in resolving operational issues and mitigating operational risks.
Coordinate with the P4G team and HR on recruitment of new personnel and support onboarding of new staff and consultants.
Provide support to P4G on coordinating internal and external events, workshops, and conferences, as needed.
Collaborate with the P4G team to manage the digital archiving of information within SharePoint, ensuring all the data is organized, up-to-date, and easily retrievable.
Provide administration support on an as-needed basis to the Executive Director.
What you will need:
Education: You have a completed bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance accounting or any other related area of study.

Experience:
You have 3+ years’ full-time relevant work experience
You have experience in project or organizational operations, finance, administration, scheduling, or bookkeeping, or as an executive assistant for a non-profit organization
Experience using Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience running virtual meetings using Zoom or Teams
Experience working with a geographically dispersed team
Experience organizing the coordination of events/workshops and liaising with external stakeholders
Experience working with Workday will be an added advantage
Languages: You have verbal and written proficiency in English.
