JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Manage the end-to-end monthly processing of payroll for the entire organisation.
  • Work closely with the HR Business Partner and Finance Manager to prepare and monitor budgets.
  • Prepare monthly payroll reports and reconciliations.
  • Accurately and timeously respond to employee queries.
  • Maintain productive relationships with finance, other stakeholders and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of the year-end re-contracting process.
  • Assist with preparation and analysis of salary surveys and provide other analytical compensation support.
    Provide administrative support towards job grading efforts, Lead special projects based on the needs of the organisation, system upgrades, user testing and validation and staff training (when needed), Human Resources Information System (HRIS) – Reporting and analysis (prepare and produce reports for senior management, finance and other in general, when needed).
  • Responsible for all tax related activities, compliance status, establishing and maintaining current registrations and tax issue resolutions with SARS.
  • Coordinate the monthly required payroll activities and ensure that all employees are provided with timeous, accurate, salary payments compliant with all statutory and applicable legislative requirements.
  • Implement annual and off-cycle payroll processes:
  • Annual salary increase
    • Bi-Annual reconciliations EMP501 and EasyFile submissions
    • IRP5 issue to all staff and consultants
    • Special payroll runs (as and when needed)
  • Coordinate all transactions reconciliations and ensure timeous payments to relevant third
    parties Liaise with Finance Manager on all required payment requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • Bachelors degree beneficial.
  • Minimum 5 – 10 years working experience in Payroll.
  • Experience in payroll processing, accounting, or bookkeeping is highly desirable.
  • Highly proficient in Sage 300 People.
