Health In Harmony Grant Writer (Part-Time) Remote · Part time Company website

Health In Harmony is seeking a skilled and mission-aligned Part-Time Grant Writer to support the development of high-quality institutional grant proposals and reports. This role is responsible for translating indigenous rainforest community-led outcomes, along with associated health and conservation data, into clear, compelling, and funder-ready narratives. The Grant Writer will report to the Grants Portfolio Manager but work closely across the Programs, Research, and Finance teams in a highly collaborative, remote environment. This role focuses primarily on proposal and report writing and is well-suited for an experienced grant writer who enjoys deep writing work, ethical storytelling, and cross-functional synthesis, without owning the full fundraising strategy or grant portfolio. Through this work, the Grant Writer helps ensure that Health In Harmony’s institutional partners understand the scientifically grounded link between human health and ecosystem integrity (Planetary Health), while maintaining the integrity, agency, and voice of Indigenous Peoples, Local Communities, and Afro-descendant Peoples.

About Health In Harmony

Health In Harmony is a nonprofit organization working to reverse the loss of tropical rainforests to help stop global heating and nature’s collapse. Health In Harmony works alongside Indigenous Peoples, local communities, and Afro-descendant Peoples to realize their community-designed and -led solutions. Currently, HIH supports 235,000 community members in protecting nearly 4 million hectares of tropical rainforests in Panama, Madagascar, Brazil, DRC, and Indonesia. HIH is expanding globally to work alongside tropical rainforest communities and contribute to safeguarding half of the world’s remaining rainforests. Health In Harmony is expanding its proven, community-driven rainforest protection and health systems model across Indonesia in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and with the pioneering planetary health organization, Alam Lestat Sehari, supporting districts to strengthen primary care through a last mile health program that incorporates progressive planetary health operations, and investing directly in community solutions for planetary health. This scale effort aligns national health priorities with climate and biodiversity goals, creating a pathway for resilient, people-centered health and environmental outcomes nationwide. Health In Harmony's staff and Board represent a broad range of backgrounds and experiences. Health In Harmony is committed to fostering and maintaining a culture of equity, mutual respect, support, and connectedness. We are an equal opportunity employer. Applicants from all cultures and communities, specifically including the countries where HIH currently works, are encouraged to apply.
