Higher Heights is the political home for Black women’s political leadership. Our work harnesses the collective organizing power of Black women from the voting booth to elected office. Higher Heights for America, a 501(c)4 organization, and its sister organization, Higher Heights Leadership Fund, a 501(c)3, are rapidly expanding their program and political team.
Higher Heights seeks a Digital Organizer who will be responsible for executing organizing strategies using digital tools for a field operation to help organize Higher Heights’ in order to organize Black women to harness their political power from the voting booth to elected office. They will also be responsible for partnership outreach, development and engagement through calls, text and informing an email communications program.
The position requires a candidate to be highly collaborative, function with a high level of autonomy, and work on multiple projects alongside time-sensitive deadlines.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
Work with Higher Heights leadership, including the Vice President of Programs and National Program and Political Director, to design, launch, and manage organizing plans to engage our staff, members, and volunteers and further the organization's mission and goals.
Set up, organize, and train staff/members and volunteers to use a variety of relational organizing and online advocacy, and digital tools.
Work with the team to develop, plan, and execute a digital organization model and strategy to expand the engagement of members, partners, and volunteers to support our programmatic needs.
Requirements:
An understanding of the fundamentals of organizing, the difference between organizing and mobilization, and deeply believing your job is to help people step into leadership and drive change in the issues that affect their lives.
Familiar with the following tools: CRMs (ActionNetwork, EveryAction, NationBuilder), texting (Hustle, ThruText), relational organizing (lReach, Team), online advocacy (New/Mode, Phone2Action), website (WordPress CMS), story collection (Soapboxx, Flipgrid).
Strong organizing and tracking skills. Ability to keep projects moving, work in a fast-paced environment, have attention to detail focus, and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate understands that organizing is about building connections and relationships and believes that technology should be in the service of organizing, not the other way around.
Additional Qualifications:
Travel for this role is expected to be around 20-30% of the time.

Compensation:
The salary range for this non exempt role is $65,000-$80,000 and is offered with a competitive benefits package. This is a full-time position. This role can work remotely with travel to the office, in Brooklyn, NY.
