• Develop and implement procurement strategies and plans for commodity crops that meet business needs for cost, quality, reliability, and sustainability.
• Lead efforts to identify, evaluate, onboard and manage relationships with suppliers of maize, paddy, wheat, soybeans and other crops.
• Negotiate and oversee supplier contracts, purchasing agreements, logistics, pricing models, and payment terms.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to understand procurement requirements, manage inventory levels, and coordinate timely purchasing and delivery of crops.
• Evaluate market conditions, supply dynamics, risk factors, and other inputs to advise on procurement decisions and actions.
• Continuously analyze spend, supply markets, and vendor performance to identify opportunities for improved purchasing leverage and value.
• Lead a team of commodity crop buyers and purchasing agents, coach and develop team capabilities.
• Ensure compliant purchasing processes, documentation, and supplier relationships.
• Prepare and analyze purchasing reports, savings tracking, performance metrics for senior management.

The Purchase Manager leads and manages the purchasing team responsible for procuring maize, paddy, wheat, soybeans, and other commodity grain and oilseed crops from suppliers. This role oversees the sourcing, negotiation, contracting, order management, and relationship management activities for commodity crop procurement.

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or relevant field
• 3+ years experience in procurement or buying roles, preferably in agriculture/commodities
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
• In-depth knowledge of agricultural commodities markets and supply dynamics
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
• Leadership and team management experience
• Strategic mindset with business acumen
