Project Overview:
The inclusive business (IB) project of iFarmer- Breaking Barriers for Women in Agriculture, is funded by the Innovations Against Poverty (IAP) challenge fund of SNV Netherlands Development Organization, seeks to enhance agricultural productivity, strengthen farmers’ livelihoods, and promote sustainable farming practices. The project will support smallholder women farmers through capacity building, technical assistance, and digital solutions. Its proposed business model is designed to ensure that marginalized women farmers in Bangladesh gain access to formal financial services, receive quality agricultural inputs,benefit from tailored farming advice, and improve their access to markets. By actively engaging women in sustainable agricultural practices, the initiative aims to foster resilience and enable them to build a more secure and sustainable future.
Job responsibilities:
Track project activities and ensure adherence to work plans and schedules.
Collect quantitative and qualitative data from field activities, farmer interactions, and training sessions.
Conduct regular field visits to assess project implementation and impact.
Prepare regular progress reports, monitoring dashboards, and project performance updates.
Document best practices, case studies, and lessons learned from field activities.
Maintain accurate records of field data and ensure data quality and integrity.
Assist in planning and organizing training sessions for farmers and field staff.
Support technical staff in implementing project activities and outreach programs.
Analyze collected data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
Support impact assessment exercises and provide recommendations for project optimization.
Coordinate with donor organizations, different stakeholders, field staff, and local communities.
Ensure timely communication and reporting to project management.
Maintain existing indicator tracking tools to demonstrate the effectiveness of project interventions.
Generate a progress report against the key indicators
Assisting in preparing training modules, survey questionnaires, data collection and reporting formats, and timesheets.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in agricultural science, agribusiness, business studies, marketing, development studies, or a related discipline from a reputable university.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience in monitoring and evaluation for agriculture or rural development projects.
Strong knowledge of M&E tools, data collection methods, and reporting techniques.
Experience with farmers’ training programs and field-level project implementation.
Excellent command of English and Bengali, with strong technical writing skills in both.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic data management tools.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Additional Requirements:
Familiarity with impact assessment and agricultural value chain analysis.
Ability to work in a team-oriented, multi-stakeholder environment.
Willingness to travel frequently to field locations as required.
