ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a new position for Inkomoko, with the opportunity to play a critical role in the growth and sustainability by equipping people with the required skills and aligning with business priorities to be well placed to serve the fast-growing Organization both operationally and strategically.
The Talent Development Advisor will contribute to the P&C Strategy, developing and implementing processes to ensure dedicated, motivated, and capable employees. This position holder will be focusing mainly on people and organizational development. Training the best, developing, and implementing processes to ensure fully capable employees so the company maintains a long-term sustainable competent workforce. This is an exciting position for the right candidate who thrives on people, learning and organizational development.
Reporting to Head of Talent Development, the Talent Development Advisor can expect these range of responsibilities, among others:
Specific responsibilities
Training & People Development (30% time)
- Development of functional competencies and coordinate all training & development programs within Inkomoko (training needs analysis, managing employees’ development/training calendar, facilitate training sessions, training evaluation and reporting etc)
- Ensure each staff has a well-defined Personal Development Plan
- Identify and recommend training and coaching needs within all functions.
- Participate in soft skills training facilitation.
- Training Manual Development: identify potential/capability development areas, in collaboration with the people managers, develop program manuals and e-learning platforms content to bridge identified capability gaps.
- Conduct coaching observation and one-on-one sessions and provide direct feedback to the employees and their supervisors to improve the overall organizational performance.
- Support in the development and delivery of onboarding program
Performance Management (25% time)
- Implement the Performance Management program with appropriate alignment to Talent processes, including tracking the identification and management of high performing talent and poor performers.
- In collaboration with the Head of Talent Development, coach, mentor and train people managers on their roles in the end-to-end performance management processes
- Ensure that individual KPIs are in place for all employees & follow up on the Performance Management processes to ensure staff performance management cycle is respected and appraisals carried out in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Compile a Performance Report of the organization based on performance reviews done for all staff.
- Provide appropriate support to employees and managers in addressing unsatisfactory performance-ensure that underperforming employees are identified, and specific plans created with the full intention of returning them to acceptable performance standards.
Talent Management & Succession planning (25% time)
- Coordinate talent management programs and the implementation of the career management program and succession plans.
- Drive succession planning by matching identified key positions and identified potential successors talent.
- Review succession plans on a regular basis, check whether potential successors are still available or whether job requirements or successor qualifications have changed, and whether potential successors’ development is proceeding according to plan.
- Potential assessment, identify and assess career development potential of employees, including the identification of emerging talent.
- Develop, implement & follow up the Inkomoko job rotational program.
Business Partnering & Organizational Development (20% time)
- Provide technical expertise on P&C processes relating to talent management and development, organizational policies and practices in order to facilitate a culture of continuous learning and performance within Inkomoko.
- Partner with the relevant stakeholders to embed the Inkomoko culture and build organizational development capacity of Inkomoko
- Contribute to the development of continuous process improvements to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Define change management processes to improve business performance.
- Support the organizational transformations/change at Inkomoko, communicate these changes and assist managers and employees with their implementation
- Support people managers as an P&C Partner and/or mentor/train/coach people managers, implement different OD intervention tools to support them in obtaining world class performance
- Act as a HR Systems superuser for the P&C Department

Competencies
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in HRM, Management, Organizational Development or any other related field, a Master’s degree will be an added advantage
- Over 7 years of working experience within HR with exposure to learning & development/as a training lead.
- Excellent communicator in spoken and written English with excellent presentation and training skills with an ability to inspire colleagues.
- Exceptional organizational skills, ability to handle a variety of responsibilities simultaneously and to set priorities.
- Ability to manage several activities simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Good communicator – approachable, warm, honest, transparent, and able to manage up with confidence and the ability to build relationships with colleagues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and HR Management Systems (eg Odoo)
- Willing to travel frequently.
- Experience in working independently on projects.
