ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a fresh graduate who will navigate fast-paced and resource-constrained environments with enthusiasm, patience, a sense of humor, and imagination. This traineeship will run for 7 months and will support the Investment/Lending team in:

  • Support loan operations by processing repayments and loan disbursements in the loan management system.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating loan schedules to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Follow up on failed or bounced transactions and support timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date loan records, borrower information, and transaction data.
  • Support data management and filing to ensure records are audit-ready and easily accessible.
  • Assist with reconciliation activities by identifying and resolving unmatched or unallocated repayments.
  • Ensure verified repayments are accurately reflected in the system.
  • Prepare and manage insurance documentation for eligible clients in coordination with insurance partners.
  • Support compliance by ensuring loan and insurance documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Collaborate with Investment, Recovery, and Finance teams to resolve operational issues and repayment discrepancies.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives through proactive problem-solving and coordination.
  • Support the preparation of operational reports and maintain compliance with lending policies and procedures.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Should have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or any other relevant field
  • Strong passion for supporting micro and small businesses, including refugee-led entrepreneurs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in processing payments and reviewing transaction information.
  • Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other basic Microsoft Office tools.
  • Awareness of compliance, risk management, and the importance of handling confidential financial information appropriately.
  • Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and trustworthiness in handling sensitive information and transactions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and support timely resolutions.
