Temporary Part-Time Marketing Campaign Coordinator

Location: Flexible within the U.S.; preference for proximity to a Jumpstart regional office

Reports to: Senior Director, Marketing, Communications & Brand

FLSA Status: Hourly Part Time, Non-Exempt

Organizational Overview

Jumpstart is a national early education organization working toward the day every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed. We provide evidence-based language, literacy, and life skills programming to preschool children from underserved communities, delivered by a broad network of trained college students and community volunteers. Since 1993, we’ve trained more than 71,000 college students and community volunteers to transform the lives of over 209,000 preschool children across the country.

Position Overview

Jumpstart is seeking a detail-oriented Campaign Coordinator to support key digital marketing and communications initiatives during a critical organizational period. This temporary role will provide essential support across multiple high-impact projects, including national awareness and fundraising campaigns, website refreshes, marketing strategy implementation through detailed project planning, and ongoing campaign communications across internal teams and with external stakeholders and partners.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing & Communications

  • Design and format weekly email campaigns using Constant Contact
  • Upload, format, and manage blog posts, photos, and designs in WordPress
  • Schedule and manage social media content across platforms using Sprout Social
  • Support development and execution of quarterly newsletters (email, social, blog components)
  • Support cross-team project planning for critical marketing tactics
  • Support Read for the Record partner communications

Administrative & Strategic Support

  • Update and maintain media outreach lists and press mention tracking
  • Manage and update marketing communications project plans and timelines
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure project deliverables stay on track
  • Support additional communications projects as they arise

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2-4 years of experience in digital marketing, communications, or related field
  • Proficiency with email marketing platforms (Constant Contact preferred)
  • Proficiency in basic design tools (Canva preferred)
  • Experience with WordPress content management
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (Sprout Social a plus)
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and project management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred:

  • Experience with nonprofit marketing and communications
  • Background in educational or literacy-focused organizations
  • Graphic design skills for basic content creation
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and project management tools

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Remote

Salary & Benefits: Salary Range: $30-35/hr commensurate with experience. Not to exceed 30 hours per week. This position is not eligible for Jumpstart’s benefits package.
