AVP - Govt. Partnerships

In this role, you will play a key role in building Kheyti’s govt. partnerships function. Kheyti’s goal is to partner with various state governments to unlock affordability for the small farmers that it serves via govt. funding. This is one of the most important milestones in Kheyti’s scale up journey. If you are excited about advocacy and thrive in building relationships, this is a great opportunity.

What you will do

• Prospect and arrange meetings with state and central government officials
  

• Deliver impactful presentations to convey Kheyti’s model to different govt. officials
  

• Cultivate relationships with govt. officials
  

• Draft and submit proposals and RFPs
  

• Build awareness about Kheyti in govt. forums through events, conferences, etc.
  

• Collaborate with other partners (NGOs, think tanks, CSRs) for influencing policy
  

• Get revenue receivables from the govt. as per milestones
  

Key Outcome(s) You Will Drive

• Get a financial MoU signed with multiple state governments
  

• Influence policy to get a new scheme for climate resilient agriculture
  

Ideal persona

Qualifications

• 3+ years of government partnerships experience, ideally past record of getting a financial MoU signed with a govt. department & handling govt. receivables
  

• 2+ years of team managing experience
  

Attitudes / Ambitions

• Very comfortable building relationships with govt. officials, CSR heads, etc.
  

• Mission driven: Excited about making a difference in the lives of small-farmers
  

• Flexibility to work in a dynamic, often resource-constrained environment
  

• Perseverance: This work needs resilience!
