Design and lead Labhya's chatbot experience to drive engagement, motivation, and wellbeing across government school systems. This role blends conversation design, product thinking, content strategy, and user engagement to ensure the chatbot becomes a meaningful and trusted companion for teachers at scale.

Role Expectations

*All the below-mentioned tasks would be key to your role. The following requirements are not mentioned in order of priority.

  • Conversation Design & Product Experience: Design intuitive and engaging chatbot flows, conversational journeys, and use cases that are accessible to users with varying levels of digital literacy.
  • Continuously refine chatbot UI/UX and flow structures based on engagement data, user feedback, and pilot learnings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, customize, and align chatbot content with program goals.
  • User Onboarding, Engagement & Retention: Lead user onboarding across districts to familiarize users with the chatbot and drive early adoption.
  • Drive sustained engagement through nudges, recognition workflows, timely reminders, and targeted messaging.
  • Monitor chats and user support to identify and close gaps, while continuously improving user motivation, retention, and overall experience.
  • Insights, Analysis & Behaviour Monitoring: Track engagement funnels, drop-offs, usage patterns, and completion rates across districts. Recommend improvements across flows & programs.
  • Monitor & synthesize data around user behaviour, user engagement drivers and performance of different bot flows and guide decisions.
  • Support rapid experimentation cycles, including A/B tests and content pilots.

  • Product Innovation: Continuously improve & identify use cases, query resolution, flows, and engagement strategies based on insights and feedback to improve program delivery and last-mile impact.
  • Partner with other teams to ensure alignment between on-ground realities and chatbot functionality.
  • Maintain documentation, version control, and operational SOPs for chatbot management.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science/ Engineering Data Science, or a related field.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience building and managing a chatbot end-to-end, including flow design, engagement strategy, testing, and optimisation.
  • Experience working with multilingual, diverse, or low-digital-literacy user groups is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of behavioural insights, motivation strategies, or human-centered communication.
  • Experience in education, social impact, or government-linked programs is preferred.

Characteristics

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Forms).
  • Fluent in English with strong writing and communication skills for sharing learnings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong interest in Social Emotional Learning (SEL), mental health, and psychosocial development.
  • Deep empathy for users and comfort designing for low-tech environments.

  • Ability to design user journeys, conversation flows, or structured communication experiences.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and creative, with an eye for user experience and clarity in communication.
  • Open to experimentation, learning, and collaboration in a fast-moving, purpose-driven environment.
  • Deeply committed to integrity, transparency, and trust in both process and relationships.
