Agartala, Tripura. Fluency in English, Hindi and Bengali

Supports the on-ground implementation of Labhya's Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) program in partnership with the state government. Ensures strong district-level coordination, high-quality facilitation, effective stakeholder engagement, and consistent documentation of on-ground impact across assigned districts and schools.

Role Expectations

*All the tasks mentioned below would be key to your role. The following requirements are not mentioned in order of priority.

  • Maintain and build new relationships while strengthening existing relationships with district and block-level government officials in the assigned districts of Tripura.
  • Develop strong working relationships with district coordinators, heads of schools, mentor teachers, teacher coordinators, and teachers in selected Schools of Change.
  • Act as the primary point of contact of the organization at the district, block, and school level in the assigned districts and schools.
  • Act as an anchor between district government officials and Labhya's Curriculum and Training team, ensuring regular liaison and coordination with concerned officials.
  • Facilitate teacher training sessions to build capacity and prepare detailed training modules, including interactive lesson plans and activities, for teachers in Schools of Change as required.
  • Support Labhya in the collection of on-ground monitoring and evaluation data through the conduction of baselines and endlines in Schools of Change.
  • Support the documentation of on-ground impact by collecting stories of change and field insights from schools and communities.
  • Work closely with the assigned Reporting Manager to support the completion of tasks related to effective state-wide implementation of the program as required.
  • Work closely with the program and fundraising teams to ensure smooth coordination and execution of impact visits for partners, stakeholders, Labhya team members, and funders.
  • Support requests that may arise from district, block, or school-level officials with whom the organization works directly.
  • Comfortable with regular travel across districts for coordination, training, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement.

Educational Qualification

Bachelors or Masters degree in Education, Social Science, or a related field.

Experience

  • 1–2+ years of experience in teacher training programs, facilitation, and program implementation.
  • Prior experience working with school or government officials is highly preferred.

  • On-ground experience working with children and youth is non-negotiable.

  • Understanding of Social Emotional Learning, mental health, or psychosocial development is preferred.
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders across projects.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and manage processes end-to-end.

  • Ability to solve problems using structured thinking, best practices, and relevant frameworks.
  • Comfortable with logistical event planning and coordination.

  • Working proficiency in Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and digital reporting systems.
