Support the creation and management of design content across print and digital platforms, contributing to consistent and impactful visual communication. This role sits at the centre of government and programs of Labhya. Understanding, creating and delivering while balancing the needs of our program and the government's is an important route to success in the role.

Role Expectations

*All the below-mentioned tasks will be key to your specific role. The following requirements are not mentioned in order of priority.

  • Support different verticals in crafting narratives that balance local context and our program objectives
  • Translate relevant program documents, training materials, and other content from Gujarati to English/Hindi and vice versa
  • Develop engaging and impactful content, including social media posts, newsletters, articles, and blogs, etc. for the program
  • Design visually appealing collaterals (flyers, brochures, posters, etc.) for events, workshops, and campaigns
  • Systematically document program implementation and impact through photographs, videos, observations, and written narratives from field visits across schools and communities
  • Strengthen state-level PR efforts by identifying, building, and maintaining relationships with relevant media agencies, firms, and organisations, and by drafting clear, government-aligned press notes for publication
  • Develop scripts, screenplays, and shot breakdowns for programmatic video content
  • Compile comprehensive reports for stakeholders, including state government officials, external partners, and internal teams, highlighting day to day work, key milestones and challenges
  • Facilitate or support teacher training sessions as required

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with state senior and mid level government officials and district / block-level administrators
  • Support in developing the program from the ground up, including branding, design, and other critical elements, in close collaboration with the government and our programs team

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in some communication-related field

Experience

Overall 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in communications, prior non-profit or startup experience is preferred

Characteristics

  • Good sense and understanding of core principles of design (design, aesthetic, color theory including but not limited to)
  • Basic photography and videography skills are a bonus.

  • Proficiency in photo editing, video editing, and design software is a bonus.

  • Comfortable using Canva, Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs&Slides)

  • Comfortable with extensive travel and being on-ground across remote areas to support the impact collection.
  • Attention to detail and process orientation.

  • Willingness to learn and grow together with the team.
