JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Student Internship will collaborate with various department to gain valuable skills and knowledge. This may include community outreach or marketing to promote the Organization to potential students and partners; distribution/school support to assist distribution center and learning centers; alumni ambassador to share knowledge about school programs, alumni services and support extra-curricular school activities including athletics, on and off campus. This position reports to the Principal or Designee.

  • Represent Learn4Life appropriately in all situations.
  • Promote awareness of Learn4Life schools with potential students and partners.
  • Foster school spirit and student engagement in campus activities.
  • Disseminate approved school materials for information.
  • Participate in school site PAC and LCAP advisory committees.
  • Maintain timely communication with management.
  • Assist in planning, setup, and teardown of events and activities.
  • Support program-related tasks, including tours, presentations, testimonials, and surveys.
  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and school events as requested.
  • Adhere to the employee dress code and wear provided Learn4Life shirt.
  • Use company-provided tech only for assigned tasks, following company policies.
  • Perform administrative duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned. These may be changed or modified from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Must be able to provide identification that verifies identity and eligibility to work in the US.
  • Must have graduated from a Learn4Life school within the previous 6 months of the job posting date OR
  • Must be enrolled in a Learn4Life (L4) school and student must maintain the following standards:
    • Enrolled at least 3 LPs as of job posting date.
    • Minimum of a 2.0 GPA.
    • Completing a minimum of 1 credit per week.
    • Attend weekly scheduled appointments with your teacher.
  • Letter of recommendation from a L4L teacher is required.
  • Approachable, friendly, and comfortable interacting in groups or crowd settings.
  • Ability to travel in performance of job duties is required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mental Demands: low workflow management, low project coordination, and low people engagement.
  • Finger Dexterity: primarily using the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.
  • Talking: especially where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Average Hearing: hearing average or typical conversations and receiving ordinary information.
  • Average Visual Abilities: normal acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents and operate office equipment.
  • Frequent multi-tasking, changing of task priorities, repetitious exacting work required.
  • Prolonged period sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Working in a low to low noise environment with frequent deadline pressures.
