How You Will Make an Impact

The Distribution Center Coordinator will coordinate inventory movement while handling multiple aspects of the warehouse distribution facility. This position will work other Distribution Center staff to ensure requests or inquiries are processed in a manner which will ensure accurate and timely handling of materials.   • Coordinate the maintenance inventory, inventory organization and racking, inventory cycle counting and reporting, and inventory accounting
  • Handle distribution and receiving functions to ensure they are handled within established protocols and procedures
  • Monitor inventory controls and follow up to resolve discrepancies
  • Work with management to identify, evaluate, standardize and implement procedures to improve efficiency of workers and processes
  • Plan the days work load and work with Distribution Center personnel to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines
  • Work with vendors on receiving and delivery of materials
  • Issue written and oral instructions
  • Examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures
  • Ensure employees are adhering to safety rules
  • Prepare and review paperwork for submission to the Finance Department
  • Collaborate with the Education and Finance Department staff on order fulfillment
  • Train on inventory programs/procedures to appropriate personnel
  • Adhere to customary Distribution Center operating hours
  • Adhere to attendance policies
  • Administrative duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Forklift training and applicable certification for operation
  • Ability to handle multiple competing demands with ever changing priorities and or situations
  • Ability to make clear, direct and concise decisions based on data/fact driven information
  • Ability to work well with people at all levels both in and out of the warehouse distribution center

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education diploma
  • 2 years of experience in materials procurement and accounting process
  • Proficient in inventory software applications
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, email)
  • Ability to travel in performance of duties
  • Frequent bending, stooping and lifting up to 30 pounds

TRAVEL: Ability to travel up to 50% is required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Wear Protective Equipment gear while performing specific duties
  • Utilize proper lifting and bending techniques
  • Finger Dexterity: using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together
  • Talking: especially where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly
  • Average Hearing: able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information
  • Average Visual Abilities: ordinary acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or operate machinery
  • Physical Strength: Involves frequent bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting up to 30 pounds
  • Equipment operation requires use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to, closed toe footwear
  • Work in a warehouse distribution facility. Exposure to outside weather conditions, wet, hot, cold and/or humid conditions
  • Noise level: usually moderate
