How You Will Make an Impact

The Director, Technology Integration will lead a cross-functional team dedicated to aligning technology systems with the organization’s educational objectives. This role is responsible for ensuring that technology applications and platforms are effectively integrated and leveraged by both students and staff to enhance learning and operational efficiency.

The Director will oversee the implementation of educational technology programs, support instructional technology initiatives, and collaborate across departments to drive academic and operational excellence through strategic technology integration. A key focus of this role is the seamless connection of systems such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Student Information Systems (SIS), the management of data pipelines into the organization’s data warehouse, and the implementation of single sign-on (SSO) solutions.

In partnership with the education team, the Director will guide the research, selection, and deployment of instructional technologies across school sites. This position will also be responsible for identifying and managing the data necessary to support predictive analytics and evidence-based practices, ensuring that actionable insights are accessible to leadership and stakeholders.

This position reports to Vice President, Technology Services, or designee.

  • Lead and manage the team responsible for integrating and maintaining educational technology systems.
  • Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of educational technology programs across the organization.
  • Collaborate with all divisions to ensure alignment of technology initiatives with educational and operational goals.
  • Support the education department’s strategic objectives by researching and recommending instructional technologies for school site implementation.
  • Focus on the delivery mechanisms of all technology applications, systems, and digital curriculum for students.
  • Ensure seamless integration of core systems such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), Student Information Systems (SIS), and other instructional platforms.
  • Lead efforts to implement and manage single sign-on (SSO) solutions across all systems to streamline user access.
  • Determine and manage the flow of data from various technology systems into the organization’s data warehouse.
  • Facilitate the collection, evaluation, and interpretation of data to support predictive analytics and evidence-based practices.
  • Coordinate the accessibility and usability of data for educational and operational decision-making.
  • Provide leadership in analyzing system usage and efficacy, delivering actionable insights to the leadership.
  • Support the educational teams to develop and implement instructional technology tools and support materials.
  • Gather and interpret data documenting the effectiveness of educational technology systems and provide constructive input for program evaluation.
  • Prepare and submit accurate reports on technology integration, system performance, utilization, and program outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and accessibility standards.
  • Maintain documentation of systems, processes, and integration protocols.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage, coordinate, supervise, coach, and direct the hiring, training, timely performance evaluations of team members, oversee their daily activities, and oversee the daily workflow of the department.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge and understanding of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures relevant to the area of employment.
  • Knowledge of instructional technology tools, digital learning platforms, and current trends in educational technology integration.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Skilled in project management, with the ability to lead large-scale technology integration initiatives across departments and school sites.
  • Ability to assess technological needs and collaborate with academic and IT teams to implement solutions that support teaching and learning.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to measure the impact of technology integration on student outcomes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Organization’s culture, business units, services, and products.
  • Knowledge of hardware, networking, instructional technologies
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and explain mathematical rules and equations used for data analysis.
  • Ability to prioritize work, and initiative to improve processes.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing assignments and deadlines, while being flexible and adaptable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information system, Technology, Computer Science or related field or 2 years equivalent work experience demonstrating applicable skills in relevant industry or discipline.
  • Three years of technology integration experience required.
  • Two years’ combination experience in Leadership and Management role required.
  • IT certifications or training certificates preferred.
  • California teaching credential preferred.
  • Managerial experience in instructional technology preferred.
  • Experience leading district-wide technology initiatives.
  • Experience with K-12 or higher education.
  • Experience in providing technological services in Learning Center environments and facilitating adult training.
  • Computer networking experience and familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), student information systems (SIS), and digital curriculum platforms.
  • Proficient level of skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other technology applications.
  • Ability to travel in performance of job duties is required.

  • Upper Body Mobility: Ability to use fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together, use hands to grasp, and manipulate small objects; twist and bend at wrist and elbow; extend arms to reach outward and upward; use hands and arms to lift objects; turn, raise, and lower head.
  • Strength: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Environmental Requirements: Ability to encounter constant work interruptions; work cooperatively with others; work independently; work indoors. Prolonged period sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Work in a low to moderate noise environment with frequent deadline pressures.
