Job Title: Senior Manager(Fundraising)

Location: Pune, Maharashtra

Travel : PAN India as per the need of the job role

Position Overview:

The Senior Manager - Fundraising will spearhead the development and execution of a high-impact fundraising strategy to secure resources from CSR initiatives, institutional donors, philanthropic foundations, and high-net-worth individuals (HNIs). This leadership role demands strategic vision, exceptional relationship management, and the ability to drive sustainable financial growth for LAHI’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Fundraising Leadership -

  • Design and implement an advanced fundraising strategy to achieve annual and long-term financial goals.
  • Identify, cultivate, and secure high-value funding opportunities from CSR, domestic and international foundations, trusts, and HNIs.
  • Oversee and expand relationships with key donors, ensuring exceptional engagement and retention.
  • Monitor fundraising performance metrics and provide strategic insights to leadership and the board.

Grant Writing & Proposal Excellence -

  • Lead the creation of high-quality grant proposals, concept notes, and pitch decks tailored to diverse donor segments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Programs, Finance, M&E, Communications) to align proposals with organizational goals and impact metrics.
  • Ensure compliance and timely submission of proposals throughout the grant lifecycle.

Corporate & Institutional Partnerships –

  • Build and manage strategic relationships with CSR leaders, institutional donors, and funding agencies to secure multi-year commitments.
  • Develop and present innovative corporate engagement models, including employee volunteering, skill-based partnerships, and co-branded initiatives.
  • Represent LAHI at high-profile forums, CSR events, and partnership discussions to enhance visibility and funding opportunities.

High-Net-Worth Individual (HNI) & Major Donor Engagement -

  • Design and execute a comprehensive major gifts program, targeting HNIs, family offices, and philanthropists.
  • Organize bespoke donor engagement activities, such as impact tours and storytelling sessions, to foster long-term relationships.
  • Develop tailored strategies for legacy giving and endowment funding.

Donor Reporting & Compliance -

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compelling donor reports, including financial updates and impact assessments.
  • Maintain a robust CRM system to track donor interactions, segmentation, and reporting deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to guarantee fund utilization compliance and transparency.

Team Leadership & Development -

  • Lead, mentor, and scale the fundraising team to achieve excellence.
  • Design and implement capacity-building programs to enhance team skills and performance.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and results-driven execution.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Experience -

  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in fundraising, business development, or donor relations, preferably in the non-profit/social sector.
  • Proven track record of securing large grants (CSR, institutional, or international funding) and managing high-value donor relationships.
  • Experience in corporate fundraising, HNI engagement, and grant writing with a demonstrable success rate.
  • Prior leadership experience in managing and mentoring fundraising teams.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience -

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Social Work, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in vocational education/skilling programs or government collaborations.
