To Plan and Lead all activities related to planning, roll-out, management and monitoring & evaluation activities for the Connect with Work Programme
- Connect with Work Programme: An employment connect programme by imparting life and employability skilling through a boot-camp approach for firsttime job seekers, fresh college graduates, fobs lost youth & adults, and under-employed youth. The programme is high volume in nature with very strict timelines.

Key Responsibility Areas
Strategic Planning and Leadership
- Collaborate with the Senior Director to plan and lead the effective and efficient management of skilling and placement programs across the region.
- Devise and implement strategies to achieve all key project deliverables, including household and beneficiary studies, community and employer network building, enrolments, placements, and job retention.
- Plan and spearhead the expansion of interventions through market assessments, keeping abreast of labor market trends, and proposing strategies to align existing programs or design new initiatives.
Project Implementation and Monitoring
- Oversee project location identification, setup activities, and ensure alignment with agreed timelines and standards.
- Work with the Senior Director to develop robust monitoring and evaluation (M&E) tools to assess project health and facilitate appropriate course corrections.
- Be responsible for the implementation and adherence to project hygiene and governance indicators, ensuring all activities meet quality and compliance standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with local stakeholders, including colleges, universities, funders, employer networks, and other agencies, to foster collaboration and support project goals.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders such as the Livelihoods Division, Sustainability Team, and other departments.
Team Development and Capacity Building
- Mentor and coach project staff to ensure high performance and alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation to enhance staff capabilities and program offerings.
Operational Leadership
- Lead mobilization and outreach activities to connect with beneficiaries and communities effectively.
- Drive placement and employer-connect initiatives to ensure successful employment outcomes for program participants.
- Be accountable for the accuracy and validity of regional MIS data and reporting systems.
- Prepare and share mandatory periodic reports, ensuring transparency and adherence to reporting requirements.
This role demands a proactive and detail-oriented leader with a passion for driving impactful initiatives to drive the college program, building partnerships, and ensuring measurable outcomes. This role will come with the responsibility of handling managing 3 clusters of connect with work programs with outreach of 2500 including one which is currently handled.
Innovation and Special Initiatives
- Plan and lead special initiatives and projects assigned for the region, driving innovation in program delivery and outcomes.
- Continuously explore and implement improvements in program delivery, staff development, and stakeholder engagement to enhance overall effectiveness.

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications
Essentials/Desirables
- Understanding of the Skill ecosystem in India including knowledge about skilling ecosystem driven by NSDC, DGT and Industry.
- Labor market information including industrial clusters, prevailing wages, work hours, skill requirements, and employment possibilities
- In-depth knowledge of all components of an Employability Training project like Mobilization, Youth screening & profiling, Counselling, Skill Training, Placement & post-Placement, and MIS & Reporting
- An understanding of the business economy and its changing dynamics w.r.t. new jobs, new competency requirements, jobs becoming redundant, new sectors, etc.
- Knowledge of various employment exchange models (digital, hybrid and offline) for
- better understanding and alignment of Magic Bus programmes’ practices & standards
- Excellent project management skills which include devise and use project/account plans, budgets, monitoring & evaluation, and other financial information
- Excellent Staffing and People Management skills
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, (including the preparation of MIS, Reports and Communication material)
- Highly Tech-savvy
- Ability to successfully operate under high-pressure, stressful and time-bound work environment

- Minimum 08-10 years of total work experience within which minimum 05 years in a Placements & Employment connect Leadership role in the Skilling/ Staffing industry
- Post-graduation in Management/MSW/Social Science
- Experience of managing a portfolio of activities in a target-drivenenvironment
- Experience in Market scan and Employer relationship building activities
- Experience of managing internal relationships within multi-disciplinary teams
- Willing to travel extensively within the region
