Senior Manager – Corporate Partnerships (National Role for SME Vertical)
About Organization
Magic Bus India Foundation is one of the leading NGOs in education and skilling in India. Over the past 26 years, the organization has established a strong presence across 22 states and union territories, impacting the lives of young people from underserved communities between the ages of 12 to 25 years. Through its two distinct programmes - the Adolescent Programme and Livelihood Programme, Magic Bus equips young people with essential life and employability skills to help them move out of poverty and lead sustainable lives.
The Adolescent Programme empowers adolescents (12-18 years) with life skills education and Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN). To support this, Magic Bus has established an impressive network of 30,000 schools, 343 Community Learning Centres (CLCs) and has MOU’s with 10 state governments and NITI Aayog. Notably, 52% of the participants are girls, reflecting the programme’s strong focus on gender inclusion.
The Livelihood Programme prepares youth (18–25 years) for sustainable careers by imparting transferable life and employability skills. Magic Bus has set up 133 Livelihood Centres, built 1,130+ college partnerships, and established Entrepreneurship Incubation Centres to nurture aspiring entrepreneurs from underserved communities. 60% of the programme’s participants are young women, highlighting a strong emphasis on empowering women through skilling.
In addition to its urban skilling initiatives, Magic Bus has also expanded into the Peri-Urban and Rural Livelihood Programme, focusing on empowering women in peri-urban and rural areas. This programme equips women with leadership and business skills, enabling them to establish and sustain enterprises and move towards financial independence.
Through its sustained efforts, Magic Bus has empowered over 35 lakh adolescents and 5 lakh youth, enabling their transition from childhood to livelihood.
Compensation & Structure
Title: Senior Manager – Corporate Partnerships (National role for SME Vertical)
Reporting to: Associate Director - Fundraising & Partnerships
Location: Airoli, Navi Mumbai
CTC: Competitive, with a meaningful performance-linked variable component tied to revenue targets
Growth path to AVP as the vertical scales to ₹25 Cr
About the Role:
We are building a high-velocity corporate partnerships vertical, closing a large volume of smaller CSR deals from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) that don't have big, structured CSR budgets but do have the intent and the mandate to give.
These companies are almost entirely ignored by larger NGOs chasing marquee partnerships, and underserved by smaller NGOs that lack the professional infrastructure to engage them.
Our target deal size is ₹5L–₹50L, high enough to be meaningful and small enough that SMEs can say yes without a lengthy approval chain.
We are looking for a Senior Manager to own, build, and scale this vertical from ₹4–5 Cr in Year 1 to ₹25 Cr over the next 2–3 years.
This is a builder's role. You will not inherit a fully functional team or pipeline; you will create it.
The right person is equal parts hunter, strategist, and innovator who can close deals, build systems, and think at the product level about what makes CSR partnerships compelling and scalable.
Why This Role:
Most fundraising roles in the sector are account management jobs dressed up as strategy. This one is genuinely different. You will be given the mandate, the backing, and the autonomy to build something: a repeatable, scalable CSR partnerships engine that can become one of the organisation's most significant revenue pillars. The playbook exists. The market is underpenetrated. If you have the relationships, the hustle, and the imagination, this is the role to make your mark.
What You Will Do:
Revenue & Pipeline: -
Own the annual target of ₹4–5 Cr in Year 1, with a 3x+ year-on-year growth trajectory scaling to ₹25 Cr by Year 3
Build and manage a robust pipeline of SME CSR partners, focusing on deals in the ₹5L–₹50L bracket, the sweet spot that most NGOs either overlook or can't service at the volume required to make it meaningful
Close deals end-to-end: from prospecting and pitching through proposal, negotiation, and execution.
Develop account management practices, including multi-year engagement models that map donor objectives to scalable programmes, so that renewals and upsells are a natural outcome.
Vertical Strategy & Scaling:
Design and execute a structured SME engagement model covering segmentation, outreach channels, proposal templates, pricing, and fulfilment workflows
Lead an SME-CSR landscape mapping exercise across key growth corridors (metro and Tier 2 cities) to identify high-potential partnership clusters, sector-specific giving patterns, and compliance behaviors.
Build and lead a lean, high-performance distributed partnerships team (field and inside sales) as the vertical scales geographically.
Drive expansion into new regional markets sequentially, with clear targets and go-to-market plans for each corridor.
Define quarterly and annual targets, track pipeline health, and report to senior leadership with clear metrics.
Corporate & CSR Relations:
Cultivate relationships with founders, promoters, MDs, and finance/compliance decision-makers at SMEs, advising them on CSR/ESG architecture, Schedule VII compliance, and multi-year engagement structures, not just pitching a product.
Engage industry associations, MSME clusters, and chambers of commerce as a channel to access large pools of potential partners efficiently.
Stay deeply current on CSR mandates, Schedule VII priorities, SEBI and MCA compliance updates, and sector-specific giving trends.
Represent the organisation at industry forums, CSR conclaves, and corporate events to build brand and pipeline simultaneously.
Own the end-to-end compliance and documentation experience for SME partners (MOU execution, utilization certificates, 80G/Section 135 paperwork, impact reports, and audit-readiness), ensuring partners feel the process is effortless so renewals become a default, not a decision.
Product & Innovation:
Think beyond transaction: design lightweight, low-friction partnership formats tailored to SMEs (branded giving programmes, employee engagement days, anniversary or milestone giving, thematic-aligned funding frameworks) that fit their budgets and decision timelines without requiring a large internal CSR team on their side.
Collaborate with programme teams to package organisational work into compelling, fundable CSR products aligned with Education, Livelihood, and Sustainability mandates Identify white spaces in SME CSR spending and proactively develop offerings to capture them.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: -
12+ years of total experience, with at least 6–8 years in corporate fundraising, B2B sales, or CSR partnership roles.
Demonstrable track record of independently closing CSR or B2B deals at volume. We will ask for numbers, deal sizes, and timelines; a progression like ₹50L to ₹5 Cr+ is the kind of story we want to hear.
Experience building or significantly scaling a revenue vertical from scratch, including geographic expansion into new markets.
Exposure to the NGO/social sector and CSR compliance landscape is strongly preferred; candidates from telecom, BFSI, or FMCG enterprise/SMB sales backgrounds with demonstrated ability to work with SME promoters and decision-makers will also be seriously considered. The key credential is high-volume deal-closing and structured pipeline management, not pedigree.
Skills: -
Sharp commercial instinct: can qualify prospects fast, structure deals creatively, and negotiate without discounting on value.
Ability to advise SME promoters and CXOs on CSR/ESG architecture and compliance structuring; consultant mindset, not just a salesperson.
Strong written and verbal communication; able to write a crisp concept note and present confidently to a founder or finance head.
Data-driven approach to pipeline management; comfortable with CRMs, funnel metrics, and financial forecasting.
Ability to think at a product level and translate programme outcomes into fundable, scalable CSR offerings
Mindset:
Entrepreneurial: - Comfortable with ambiguity, energized by building from scratch
High ownership: - Does not wait for leads, process, or permission Mission-aligned: genuinely cares about the cause and can communicate that authentically to partners.
