Maisha Meds is an organization dedicated to improving health care in Africa through best-in-class technology.
Founded in 2017, Maisha Meds has created the largest digital network of private pharmacies and clinics across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, and Zambia through our mobile software. Our platform not only helps these providers improve business by making sales, managing inventory, and tracking patients. It also reimburses them for providing high-quality care for malaria, family planning, and HIV prevention at discounted costs.
Maisha Meds logs millions of patient visits every year and has provided hundreds of thousands of reimbursements to date. We harness data from our network of pharmacies and clinics to reveal health and market trends, which allows us to design better solutions that work for the people we serve.
We have worked with leading academic institutions such as UC Berkeley, Emory University, and KEMRI to evaluate the effectiveness of our programs. Research shows that our system is able to significantly increase the uptake of long-acting contraceptives and appropriate malaria case management.
Our work is funded by a range of partners including scale-up funding from USAID Development Innovation Ventures and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
This will help Maisha Meds greatly expand it's mobile software to 7,500 total pharmacies and clinics by late 2026, delivering subsidized care to nearly a million new patients in the process.
About the role
Maisha Meds is expanding, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, driven, and results-focused Sales Executive to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for a high-performing sales professional who is passionate about customer growth, field engagement, and building strong market presence.
This is a field heavy, target-driven role focused on growing our customer base. You will be responsible for lead generation, customer acquisition, and sales conversion, while also supporting and coordinating field agents across multiple states under your region.
The Ideal Candidate must:
- Reside in the South-South region preferably Port Harcourt or Uyo
- Be highly familiar with the entire South-South region and pharmacy landscape
- Be commercially-driven, self-motivated, proactive and passionate about delivering measurable results
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.
Only candidates living in the stated locations will be considered.
This role will require very frequent travels within the region of hire.
You will report to the Country Sales Manager and will recruit and supervise sales and onboarding agents across your region.
This is an urgent hire, and we offer a very attractive compensation package for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Identify and acquire new customers within your assigned region.
- Generate qualified leads through field and strategic prospecting, referrals, and networking etc.
- Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline from initial engagement through to successful conversion.
- Prepare and deliver compelling commercial presentations and product demos.
- Use CRM and other internal tools to manage pipelines and customer data
- Recruit, supervise and manage field agents within your assigned region.
- Consistently achieve agreed sales and revenue targets.
Qualifications:
Essential

- Academic qualifications: B.Sc in any discipline
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in sales, field marketing, and customer acquisition, preferably tech sales to B2B and SMEs
- Demonstrated success in identifying quality leads, managing sales pipelines and closing sales deals
- Experience in managing CRM systems preferably Hubspot
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly collaborative and a strong team player with the ability to build and manage a field sales team
- Innovative, proactive, and solution-oriented
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
